“Still waiting for delivery :-(”

2 weeks after i ordered I'm still waiting for delivery of my item. Customer service is awful with being passed from one person to the next. Managers don't work after 6 apparently so need to wait till the next day to try and sort out the whereabouts of my item when I was promised to receive the item by today. “Shocking Delivery!!”

I'm sure this isn't news to anyone but Yodel delivery has struck again! Why River Island still use the predominantly worst delivery service in the UK astounds me. Paid a small fortune on the 8th for express delivery, at 12:30. the 10th and still no sign. Tracked through Yodel and the delivery won't be made till the 11th! The River Island website say delivery within 1 or 2 working days of delivery and mostly next day for orders before 7pm. How can this be? Absolutely shocking! Never... (read more)

My son (18 years) bought a a grey, silk-looking suit from River Island (over £100)in Whitgift Centre, Croydon for a family occasion in June last year. “Do Not Expect Good Customer Service”

Terrible experience with this company. I spent over €200 with them over a month ago to deliver from the UK and the package never arrived despite them saying they do deliver to a PO Box address. Merryhill Rude management, staff are helpful but if i want help i will ask i’ve ust walked into the shop for goodness sake. Staff seem on edge, over heard management threaten staff with a penoid for talking to another memeber of staff (drama queen manager). Not friendly as all no wonder they all look like zombies. Ahhh that's funny I went in on the same day, I found the same, staff were all miserable and rude. I took a top back to the store after I felt it had lost it's shape after being washed, the new Rhianna Collection, manager did not come out sent someonelse to tell me that they could not see any difference, soooo embarassed I had to stand there infront of all those customers and try and explain that there was a difference, no exchange, no refund, well wont see me back in that store again!!!

I well fed up with that shop, Im not surprised that they are miserable listening to the way managers talk to them. Im so shocked that they managed to get them jobs alot of the people there need a personality check before being hired! how rude they are out to waste people hard earned oney bet if it was their top theyd get their money back straight away! makes me mad!!

I was just thinking that, I have definitely bought handbags in Primark that have been better quality. I just spent £30 on a bag they describe as "The perfect size and shape for piling full of your must-haves" - except no its not, the handle completely broke after just 2 weeks! Does anyone know if you can still get a refund for faulty items without a receipt?

They're rubbish! You can, but only for the amount the item is currently on sale for, so if the bag is in the sale now but you bought it full price, you'll only get the sale price refunded. I got a bag from them that was £60 and partly made from straw, and it just completely fell to pieces! Luckily it hadn't gone into the sale so I was able to get a full refund without the receipt.

“Shoes”

'Quality Footwear' is what is claimed by River Island. I have had a pair of shoes from them for less than a month and the heals are virtually worn through. Leather quality is poor, and the wood in the heel is cracking up. Not the first time a purchase from them has fallen apart in less than a month, and I don't run marathons in them, I literally just walk. (read more)

I bought a lovely blouse from River island which I had been trying to find in my local store but to no avail, hence I travelled to the Trafford centre and found exactly what I was looking for. I also bought jeans in River Island costing £45. I took them back on 28th Dec for a smaller size. There were very few customers in the store and 4 members of staff behind the counter, none of whom would exchange my jeans for a smaller size. Staff were arrogant and confrontational. I am now going to go back for a refund and purchase jeans elsewhere. I will never again shop in River Island. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!

I had always enjoyed shopping at River island until, i tried to exchange a dress that was too small for a bigger size. I was told by the manager that it wasn't in a re-saleable condition(it had some dust on it( I rubbed the dust spots out with fabric and then showed her that there was in fact, nothing at all wrong with it. “Poor quality coat”

I bought the girls gold metallic reversible puff jacket recently for my 5 year old daughter. It was pricey at £35 pounds but she really loved it and used her birthday money. Lots of people have commented on how lovely it is. Unfortunately, the first time she fell over, as the fabric is very thin, it tore. I have mixed feelings about the Darice Dark Grey Wedge High Tops/Sneakers/Trainers. The style is absolute perfection. I love that you can't tell it's a hidden wedge. However the quality is very cheap/poor. These shoes should retail at $40USD, not $63USD. And I paid an additional $16USD for the shipping! So I definitely overpaid for these shoes. I bought a pair of summer shorts from River Island. Within a week the fly zip on them had broken. Useless I thought...I'll never shop there again. I'd been out of the country for a month and so the date for returning the goods had elapsed. Nonetheles I contacted River Island Customer Services and asked for a refund. I bought a pair of jeans that cost £42. I purchased them on a Saturday and went to exchange them on a Monday as I accidentally picked up the wrong size. I was really excited about getting it, and only to be disappointed with the lack of quality that was shown on the website. I brought a White bag with blue and red animals on it, I used it twice and all the colour run from the blue into the bag, I took it back after using twice after a week and basically got told by the manager to do one and itxwax my fault I had worn it with jeans and the dye hard rubbed off on it, total rubbish, total waste of £37. I bought a beautiful shirt which cost me $60. I thought this shirt was absolutely beautiful from the picture and the description. Unfortunately, I purchased this shirt before I read the reviews of River Island. I loved the black shoe boots I bought in early September 2011. The trouble is the sole started to come off after just three wears. I work in an office, so it's hardlly challenging terrain.
