Good Points: Food was amazing, lots of choice and good quality. The entertainment was really good, kept everyone busy all day and night.

Bad Points: Had to pay an extra 100 euros to have air con once there! The towels and bed linen were only changed once in the week which got horribly grubby, the apartments were basic and need up grading along with the linen which was stained!

General comments: We paid over 2600 pounds for our all inclusive week in the sun at the Pafian Sun Hotel, but to be honest I was not impressed. Don't get me wrong it didn't manage to spoil my holiday but I really would not give it a 4 star rating, more like a 2 star!

Overall I really liked the Pafian Sun and the entertainment team. It was a very relaxing and exciting environment. We were always kept busy within the hotel doing activities such as games and music. Food was served at reasonable times. I especially loved all the cooked breakfasts, we would recommend this place to a friend and would definitely come back again.

All in all myself and my partner had a special week, and would (and hope, in Sept) to stay again.
The food was outstanding (and hot), I'm not a salad person, but these were delicious. The drinks are cold and re-freshing, but the local beer is very watery (being a bit of a beer monster). The staff a friendly and helpful, and the entertainment staff do a good job.

If you travel outside the village, there are buses running every 15mins that take you to the market - harbor etc, and stops ar ...

The Pafian Sun Hotel is very overrated as it is a 4* hotel but is more like the standard of a 2*.

We have had a really super week, though it may not be to everybody's taste. If you want a quiet relaxing time without children playing in the pool then this is not for you. May I say that the week we stayed the families and children were a credit to themselves.
The drinks are in plastic cups, but surely that is a safety fact when outdoors and around the pool. When in the lounge you were served in a glass if you told them you were sitting inside.

My husband and I had a great time, as we just went away to relax. The entertainment isn't Vegas but who cares when the drinks aren't watered down and people are doing their best. If you like live bands, then jump in a cab down to O'Neils, that famous Irish chain, on a Friday/Saturday night. The food was a bit basic I suppose but my husband likes plain food and I like the opposite, neither of us had a single day that we couldn't find something we liked. Honestly, I'd read the reviews on the P ...

First time all inclusive and would definitely do it again. One week was enough and the time of year was just right not many kids.

Overall, we had a fantastic time at the Pafian Sun Hotel in Paphos.
The Entertainments Team were brilliant in every aspect.
Fantastic site for those with young children.
Everything you need in one place. Very close to 3 small supermarkets which sell everything you can think of.
Bus stops in either direction right outside, and wherever you go it is only 80 cents a bus trip.

Overall, our family enjoyed our holiday. We hired a car. Cyprus is a lovely island, but Pafian Sun Village was let down by the cheap drinks and restrictions on ice creams and milkshakes etc., and also the poor entertainment.

Do not go for more than week!! And chill out!

The Pafian Sun Hotel in Paphos is billed as a 4 star hotel! Believe me, it is not! At best I would rate it at 3 star, and the food and entertainment are no more than 2 star.

This is probably one of those hotels where lots of people go once. The Thomas Cook pictures are very flattering, but we have spent £2200 for 7 nights (family of 4), and I reckon it was worth less than half!

To cap it all, we had a 6 hour delay coming back. Nothing to do with airport security; just Monarch airline ...

The Pafian Hotel in Paphos has a small pool for the amount of people staying there. Rooms could do with freshening up. The eating area can be made more pleasant too. It was more like a 2 star than a 4 star. We expected 4 star, but instead got 2 star. Towels were ONLY cleaned twice a week. The drinks were watered down, the entertainment was not very good and there was not enough seating.

We visited Pafian Sun Hotel as our honeymoon and I must admit that I was a little bit dubious after reading some of the reviews on here but we needn't have worried in the slightest.

We went all inclusive but were still put in an apartment with all the facilities for self catering. Our apartment and the whole complex was spotlessly clean. The staff all spoke fantastic English and were always polite and friendly.

The food couldn't be faulted, there was always plenty available and a big choi ...

When we went to the Pafian Sun Hotel it was beautiful the staff were very friendly and the entertainment was fabulous as well as the food there. There were some bad points like the mumps and rats but that's probably gone now.

My family and I went with some friends to the Pafian Sun Hotel in 2003. Like others we had heard lots of bad stories about this hotel, but during our stay we were happily surprised. The rooms were clean, the staff were lovely and the resort was fantastic. We found that the daytime entertainment was fun and kept the children busy, me and my friend even joined in with the children's aerobics on the last day! The maid service was good and the food wasn't too bad. Overall I thought the Pafian Sun wa ...

We had all read the dodgy reviews on the web about Pafian Sun Hotel, but things weren't that bad when we got there. The food to start with was fine but as the week went on we couldn't stomach it. The snacks were basically what hadn't been eaten at breakfast dinner and tea and the cocktails are very limited and very weak. The only saving grace was the entertainment team, welshy is in a class of his own and we discovered he does cabaret back home in the winter months, so would love to go and see h ...
