Good Points: Food, service and first impressions were excellent
General comments: My main bad point about our visit to the The French Horn was being asked to vacate our table at 9.10 pm, when on booking we were told that the table was booked until 9.30pm, and asked to have coffee in the bar. This would not have been a problem but we were a party of six and only two could sit down, the coffee was a long time before being served.
Did not feel this was a pleasant end to an evening and felt disappointed and feel I could not recommend The French Horn as I did not feel valued as a customer.

I thought the food was bland and overpriced. The service however was absolutely the worst I have ever experienced. Food and drinks were left off the order and when we complained we felt like it was our fault. I feel that a bit of customer service would have made a real difference. The staff seemed to be struggling with the tables they had. I thought the place had a damp feel as we walked in which was noticeable.- Read timbuck2's review (78 words)

At the The French Horn in Steppingly, I believe that I found an insect marinated in my salad (which would indicate either poor kitchen practices or that you're being asked to pay a fiver for a bag of pre-packed salad to be opened.) The waiter didn't remove the item from my bill and a subsequent letter of complaint was ignored. I shall not be visiting the French Horn again.- Read jecroucher's review (74 words)

The food is great at The French Horn and they have friendly service, are efficient, oh and food again, especially desserts! So good I have taken many friends and held a 30 strong luncheon there for a car club! Oh a complaint...it's easy to bump your head a lot and it needs a top up on the paintwork inside and a spring clean along window sills, that's about as far as I can go on complaints!!- Read popper's review (76 words)
