I really am quite disturbed about this company. the turned down all of my credit cards although the bank states they are fine. electrocentre asked for a bank tramsfer into their account (they didnt suggest any other cards) which seemed odd. they suggested a telephone sale so i gave my details over the phone. this time electrocente said the card was declined again (this time on the postcode)
Barclays rang to say the card trasaction had gone through for £1 then paid back. The bank stated this is often used as fraud to test if the card works then mysterios payments could start coming out of my account. Obviously I stopped the card.
the goods were CHEAPER THAN ANYWHERE ELSE.

“I bought a HDD player from these people (also known as...”

I bought a HDD player from these people (also known as Electrocentre) and although it was delivered quickly, it was not new. The box had a delivery note in it from some 6 months prior to it being delivered to me and I have no idea where it had been in that time. The player also had the postcode entered in to it from the address on the Delivery Note

I returned it to them immediately and despite several attempts to call them and email them, I could get no response. I paid for it on my Credit Card, so hopefully my card company will refund my account once the have investigated the transaction.

I would strongly recommend that you do not use Electrocentre / Digital-point

Digital-point also uses the name Electro Centre. Do not use at any cost. Their pricing is very competitive, but if anything goes wrong with the purchase they are impossible to deal with, even if its under warranty. They go against what the manufacturer and trading standards see as fair, and even charge to pick up broken goods. They get round everything by referring to their "terms and conditions". Even LG see them as difficult to deal with and have had many complaints about them. Use them at your own risk, but its worth paying a bit more and getting a professional service. Learn from my mistakes.

i wish i read this 11 months ago,my LED TV developed a fault,LG wrote it off and this bunch of clowns are supposed to replace it with no cost or inconvenience to me but they work to their own rules and disregard THE SALES OF GOODS ACT,they wont respond to emails regarding cost,replacement or even a return address,they even want to charge me a usage fee for 11 months use if cant find a replacement.I went back to LG who have been very helpful and have resolved the problem.

I was very pleased with the service of the delivery drivers as the place the goods had to go was not the convential area. they were both very pleasant and obliging.the delivery time was great ordered on tuesday evening delivered at 7.30am thursday could not have asked for better service

I only found this website after ordering which is a good job really after all of these mostly negative reviews ;)

Anyway I bought a 40" Sony LCD TV from Digital-point.co.uk (which is now Electro Centre for some reason). The price was excellent and they delivered a couple of days later. Was a pleasant experience.

One thing to not is that they only deliver to your registered card address so forget trying to get it delivered to the in laws or place or work (not for TV's obviously) as it isn't going to happen (I tried to get it sent to the in laws as being retired they are in all day). Apart from that I would recommend.

After reading a few reviews i was a bit on edge on ordering from this company. Thought i'll try them out as the were the cheapest around, bought the new 46" samsung LED tv, great price, excellent delivery. However the delivery driver took the tv out of the box and tested it and it was faulty. Digital Point delivered a new tv the following day before i left for work. Absolutely brilliant! Fantastic service!

I bought an LG washing machine the morning of July 23rd, late afternoon i had a phone call from the company asking if they could deliver the following day, as i couldnt take a day off work they were more than happy to deliver the following day (today). Kept well in touch, this morning had a phone call from their driver saying he would be here for 2pm, he arrived 2.30. cant complain, excellent service will recomend Digital Point.

I am luck enough not have been duped by this unprofessional company, Digital Point.

Like many we saw the TV we wanted at a good price, so we went for it on a finance basis, we ordered from Digital Point but the finance application did not go through which was ok as we were going to put it on card.
When we notified Digital Point that we wanted to complete the order on card, "surprise surprise" the price of the TV was increased. We had an order number and are intent to buy was confirmed with a follow up email confirming I would be purchase through card.
The really unprofessional and lack of customer service came with a simple no solution answer email from Digital Point.

"I AM SORRY BUT THE PRICE OF THIS PRODUCT HAS BEEN INCREASED TO £7... WE ARE UNABLE TO HONOUR THE PREVIOUSE PRICE."

Of course all we can think is lucky we didn't have to deal with Digital Point through the rest of the purchase stages.
All I can say is to the response from Digital Point is to be able to honour a price you have to first be honourable!

Got slow service from Digital Point, even rude at times, little communication, waited 3 weeks for tv after countless phone calls off them and me saying would be here the next day and never turning up. turned up at 8.30pm on a saturday night to then find the wall bracket was not on the van which meant countless phone calls to them to get it delivered and still waiting! Please do not buy from these people that's my advice

This company appeared cheap but they delivered faulty goods to me and demanded £75 for an exchange, to be refunded when they confirmed the fault. They said they didn't find a fault? I will not touch them with a proverbial barge pole ever again.

Purchased a Servis washing machine from Digital Point on 31/03/2008 on 05/05/2008 it broke down engineer attempted to fix then decided it needed a new outer tank which would take 7-10 working days to come fourteen days later and many phone call still waiting repair. Have contacted digitalpoint and servis who were just poor, only to be told yet again they will inform sales team and get back to me. I have spoken to consumer advice who have told me to put in writing my complaint which i have done. Three weeks without washing machine is hard work, I think it's time to buy a new machine from a local shop and pay a little more and get peace of mind that if anything goes wrong you can speak to someone face to face and not have to be kept holding on the phone.

I ordered a T.V. and was informed that the price on the internet was wrong by £300 and would i like to pay the extra.
I decided to cancel the order and was told that that had been done.
When my credit card statement arrived there it was still on there.
Apparently the person canceling orders that day wasn't there.
A right mess up which has cost me in interest payments.
Not a company i will use again and will not be recommending.

Dealing with this company is the worst online shopping experience i have ever had. Be very careful when buying from this company they didn't make clear the full terms and conditions. They have probably the least amount of time in which to return your goods if faulty. Once i returned my goods i had to chase and chase and chase and chase until eventually they told me that my product will be replaced. Then i had to chase and chase and chase - i think you get the message - don't buy from this company it will be a very frustrating experience if anything at all goes wrong! The customer service is the worst i've ever come across and i never usually write on these types of sites so it gives you some understanding as the service i received - i hope that this has warned any prospect customers - be weary!

When my 4 month old TV developed a fault, I phoned Digital Point to get them to sort it out. They told me that it was not their responsibility but the manufacturers. When I pointed out the sale of goods act said differently, I was told "don't make me laugh". Eventually, I managed to get them to accept that they would sort it, but I would have to send the TV in at my expense (Aberdeen to Birmingham) - £60ish.

Toshiba customer services took pity on me and agreed to send someone out - to their credit, as it is really the retailers responsibility at this stage.

I wish I had spent the £50 I saved with these guys and just gone to a reputable high street outlet. Think carefully, you don't think anything will go wrong with a new appliance, but unfortunately it can.

Happy to take my order. Website listed as in stock. Delivery arranged, then suddenly - Stock not available. I had to phone them - they left me a week with nothing. Then they told me it would be two weeks plus with no apology.

They offer cheap online pricing but the customer service is rubbish. Imagine what would happen if there's a problem with your purchase. Buy from someone else - I did.

Ordered from Digital Point in good faith that the camcorder was in stock (as quoted on the website). Credit card billed. No word from company although delivery quoted as within 48 hrs. Sent an e-mail after 7 days. No reply. Phoned customer services and told it would be the following Wednesday (2 weeks after ordering). Queried the item being quoted as in stock on web and was hung up on! Another e-mail, this time answered with an apology and a promise of Tuesday or Wednesday. Phoned Wednesday. Still not in stock. Cancelled order. 5 minutes on phone with Digital Direct instead got me the camera I wanted in 48 hrs.

“I purchased a Panasonic 42" Plasma TV from Digital...”

I purchased a Panasonic 42" Plasma TV from Digital Point in April - TH42PE50. I specifically asked if it was a UK TV, which they confirmed. After storing it for a couple of months before use & then using it exclusively with a Sky Digibox I have now had my aerial sorted out. I now discover that it is in fact a TH42PA50 - non-UK TV. It does not have a digital tuner & cannot be used for analogue due to sound problems.

Digital Point aren't interested, next stop for me is the Trading Standards department - Learn from my mistake - Don't trust these people - they sell grey imports that may not be UK compatible - £1,800 down the drain!
