“Gritty! Never again.”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Scotten29 on 29/12/2021

Ordered a delivery as a treat for my family (& so I had a night off cooking) My boys basic curry was watered down and bland. My Dansak had NO lentils! The garlic narn breads, both of them! had a sand like texture to them! It was like we were eating something on a beach! My husband called them to complain as we couldn't eat the meal, it cost us just shy of £50! He then decided to go up to discuss as we were so disappointed, he was offered a 'replacement!' he said no as the meal had been ruined and all persons were put off after that! I had no dinner. No refund was able to be given or even partially due to buying online. Utterly disgusted! Never will we be eating from here again! Why would we want a replacement when it was awful!?!?!

We had a menu through the door this afternoon - just got back from weekend away didn't feel like cooking, so timing was perfect. Wow we were not disappointed. Free delivery and some of the best Indian food we have had. Will be repeating the experience again very soon. Thoroughly recommend.

The quality of food is the jewel in the crown. The restaurant space is fairly limited, but Abdul and his team are attentive and keen to please. Drinks choice is fairly limited but, let's face it, most Indian restaurants are, particularly in a village setting. Takeaway service is honest and reliable and there's a 10% discount for own collection of orders. Their range of dishes is varied and they will aim to cook dishes on request that aren't available on the menu. The restaurant is always busy, which speaks volumes in itself.

I eat here quite regularly and also get take away as well. I feel very lucky to have such a good indian restaurant so close to home! The food is very good and on Tue & Wed they do a special offer of starter, main course, rice or naan, side dish + coffee for £10.50. We always come away feeling so stuffed! The restaurant is quite small but they've made good use of the space & the service is very good. Overall a great Indian.

Great food, excellent service, but the cost of beer is totally unacceptable and points to pure greed, and the exploitation of the fact that nothing goes with a fine curry more so than a great beer like Cobra or Kingfisher. At £4.35 for 500ml bottle its the only thing that completely ruins an otherwise brilliant restaurant.

I love Sutton Tandoori.. I usually go once a month and have never had a disappointing meal. Tuesday and Wednesday nights are 5 courses for £10.50, and they don't skimp on the portions.

Sutton Tandoori Restaurant: This village restaurant is well worth a visit. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The menu is extensive with new items added occasionally. All food is freshly cooked using proper spices, no powders. Food can be tailored to your requirements, they do an extensive range of vegetarian food and most dishes can be cooked without meat, hotter or cooler as you prefer. Good value all round. Tuesday's special night is more than most can eat!
