Good Points: Light, portable, compact and easy to assemble

    Bad Points: Noisy

General comments: The Medela is one of the more affordable electric breast pumps on the market and I have found it useful as someone who expresses occasionally. The pump can be both battery operated and plugged in to the mains, therefore it's portable which is handy if you're spending the night away from home. The pump itself is supposed to mimick the action of the baby, but, lets face it; something plastic and electrical is never going to be a likeness. I do think, however, that it's much more comfortable and quicker than a manual pump, and although it's noisy, overall it's a very efficient product.

Seemed like a good pump at first but after less than 2 months the motor started to lose power. Then the plastic which had become brittle just broke apart whilst being washed. I cant afford to throw away that much money for something that will be useless after two months. I imagine that there are people that would use this alot more often than I did and it would therefore have an even shorter lifespan for many. I am now suddenly stuck needing to find another pump from somewhere!

Works well & I was able to express 5 oz plus at a time. When working the Medela Mini Electric Breast Pump is very good. Quite noisey so unable to epxress too early in the morning as I don't want to wake up hubby! I've had to take 2 back to Boots as the motor on both of them went making expressing really slow. Will probably try a different make next time as it's a hassle to get to the shops.

It is fantastic for me. When I wake up at night and I have to express feel fast and without pain.I used with my first child and I am using it now with my second one.It make some noise but any electric machine it would.I also have the manual one but when I am tired and I have to work with my hand I get some pain in my hand and also the suction is not as good as the electric one. It is my good experience in the past and in present

Medela Mini Electric Breast Pump said it was recommended by midwives on the box, so I bought it prior to the birth of my first child. In the early weeks it made my nipples really sore and didn't work in the way it suggests - i.e. mimicking the baby stimulating you. Later on it became easier, but I noticed the motor had slowed down and it still took a good 20 minutes to express 100ml (approx 4oz). I'm now looking for something quicker and with more suck!
