Good Points: *very friendly people

*10 minutes from kavos
*fantastic nightlife
*10 meters from the beach
*lots of free pools to use
*lots of gorgeous guys hahaha
*yummy food
*great offers on alcohol
*plenty to do (watersprts etc..)

Bad Points: *the amount of mosquitos
*having to put toilet paper in the bin not the toilet

General comments: (2003) THE BEST HOLIDAY OF MY LIFE! I went away expecting a good holiday, it supassed all my expectations! A word of warning, it is not a family place, although families would enjoy it and be very welcome, there are better places for you! But all you people goin away with your mates.....this is heaven! Our apartment was 10 meters from the beach, we had a huge balcony looking over the beach, and just to our left was a 24 hr bar!!(where greek nights were held every wednesday and thurdays) This was incredibly useful at 4am in the morning when your on your way home from kavos, which by the way, is the clubbing capital of corfu! It takes bout 10 minutes to walk to kavos, and once there you get surrounded by pr's whose job it is to get you into the bars.This may sound dodgey but believe me its fantastic! Apart from the fact that many of them are mighty fine, and your quite happy to be chatting with them, they are really nice people that want to get you into their bar and will therefore make great offers on whatever alcohol you want to drink!! (think 4 for 1, free bottles of champagne etc..........) Kavos is basically a long road lined with bar after bar after bar, with a few clubs thrown in! Including a foam club where there are no regulations for how much foam u can have! Many of these clubs open at 1, therefore its normal to not go out before 11!! On the road to kavos there is go karting, bars showing the latest films on huge screens, pools, shops etc..... One thing that we found strange was that everyone would say hi and no your face although we only stopped for a week, so when we got home we were like, english people are so rude! One shop keeper stopped us in the street and gave us mini bottles of ouzo to drink!! (ouzo is the local alcoholic drink, and its 40% alcohol! I must admit we did have it for breakfast one day!!) Back at our apartment, it was very basic, but we had utensils enough to cook if we wantd, but the food was cheap enough to eat out each day, and i only took £100 spending money! I could rant on and on about corfu and its many treasures but i think u should go out there and find out for yourself! Just a note to any faithful dating gals out there, if ur going with ur mates, u may wana wear blinkers, there are only so many tanned and topless young lads that you can resist!!
