“In the co op stores at the yew tree in Yardley and at...”

Written on: 21/06/2016 by shelly_tialee (1 review written)

In the co op stores at the yew tree in Yardley and at the Radleys stechford. I find that all the staff are miserable and have bad manners towards the customers, it's as if they don't want to be there. The first few times I noticed this I dismissed it assuming that the staff must of been having a bad day. But how wrong am I they are like it all the time. I thought good customer service is talking politely to your customers, good eye contact, saying thank you or please. My list can go on, it's… Read Full Review

“Dismal disinterested staff at Bearwood Poole store”

Written on: 07/06/2016 by Notahappyshopperbearwood (1 review written)

“Multiple Purchases”

Written on: 11/04/2016 by Tatumw343 (1 review written)

I am tired of having to buy multiple items. There are only two of us at home. I have to carry, store, pay for, and sometimes throw out more than I need. If I don't I feel I have been done. This is no more apparent in the milk where 4pts of semi skimmed costs £1.39 and 8pts cost £2 forcing me to lug home two four pinters when I am tired after work. The Coop is my nearest shop and I use it four times a week. I am now going online!… Read Full Review

“Rude staff training needed.”

Written on: 12/03/2016 by Cameron475 (1 review written)

I was passing through a little town called Leominster (HEREFORDSHIRE) recently. I decided to stop at the cooperative food store for something to drink. Store looked great as I believe it was in process of reopening after a makeover. However the look of the store is not so important as good staff manors. The staff a young lady Skinny lady late 20s of age blond hair I found on cigarette counter was very rude ignoring me completely staring into space as she served me. I believe coop need to… Read Full Review

“Co-op Food Stratford-Upon-Avon”

Written on: 04/03/2016 by vtHood174 (1 review written)

I would like to make a formal complaint about the store I always use to shop with, It is the Co-op Food on Wordsworth Avenue in Stratford-upon-Avon, I visited on Friday 26th February around 8pm when I witness one of the management team being rude and degrading to one of her staff, the woman in question had long brown hair and chubby. there was no need for her attitude, especially on the shop floor in front of customers. I felt that was unnecessary, horrible and bad service. but I decided to… Read Full Review

“Bad service and expensive”

Written on: 17/09/2015 by LilianaFaulkner317 (1 review written)

Went into the Coldstream shop, I only ever shop here for little items like bread milk etc but went in especially for ibuprofen and paracetamol and other items. Went to the till was asked if I wanted a bag, I said yes so she gave me 1 bag for quite a few items. So I shoved what I could in my handbag and had to carry my bread and milk under my arms, she did not even offer another bag. She wouldn't serve me with more than one box of ibuprofen or paracetamol. I've never heard of this before and I'm… Read Full Review

“Extremely expensive, terrible food, terrible meat and fish”

Written on: 09/09/2015 by Camillae372 (1 review written)

The Coop in Anstruther is terrible, every time I go in I feel like i've just thrown my money away. £30 is enough to buy your tea for 1 night, and if your lucky, lunch the next day. The mozzarella, costs twice as much as anywhere else, apples cost 3 times as much as at aldi. The meat is a joke, its incredibly expensive and very poor quality, their finest steaks are like old boots and cost more than the best steaks at aldi, which are a million times better. The fruit often goes off within a… Read Full Review

“Bad customer service ”

Written on: 17/08/2015 by Lilyana464 (1 review written)

Bought some chicken breasts. When I started to prepare them I found a sharp piece of plastic embedded in one of them. I took it back to the shop to complain. I also said I wanted an explanation as to how it came to be there. After waiting a few weeks I went back and talked to the Manager who apologised for the lack of communication and said he would over see it himself as good customer service is priority. Two weeks later after "again" hearing nothing I contacted head office complaints who… Read Full Review

“Bad customer service and over-priced”

Written on: 31/07/2015 by eon_flux (3 reviews written)

Experience depends on who’s on duty at the time. Some staff are friendly and care about the customer, others couldn’t care less. Some do nothing but moan about hours or duties while serving you. Many young staff that that are good mates with each other, so if you complain to or about one member of staff, you can find that others treat you with contempt on the next visit. Staff will open a till for another staff member to buy something and then close it again. Prices at the till too often… Read Full Review

I normally get a tray of 12 breast's for £10 from a local butcher. I will not be buying it again. i find them to be over priced and they try and get you in the door with offers you end up with 2 bags and £30 later. milk and bread only from now on. also keep… Read Full Review

“Charged twice for payment”

Written on: 11/07/2015 by OswaldoStanton471 (1 review written)

I would advice to stay away from this chain. Used my card once and was charged twice. The money was not unsignificant amount - about 17 pounds. Now I have to go to the bank, get a statement, file it in their store and hope they would return the money. Thanks for the hassle, idiots. “Bad service”

Written on: 19/05/2015 by crowey1995 (1 review written)

Clearly staff are not trained brilliantly, just went to the larger store in long stratton and my partner brought a scratch card and was asked for her ID and then she asked for mine. I then said you don't need mine and stated that I was not the one purchasing the scratch card nor have you seen any clear evidence that it was being purchased for me and stated the proxy sale policy (I work in retail) I don't mind showing my ID but being forced to when I know I'm in my right to refuse showing my ID… Read Full Review

Iammee's Response to crowey1995's Review

Written on: 29/05/2015

Coop staff are required to ask everyone who looks under 25 for ID. When in a pair/group, this includes those not physically paying for the product, whether it appears to be being purchased for them or not. Those are the rules.

Eon_Flux's reply to Iammee's Comment

What a ridiculous 'rule'. I sometimes buy alcohol when I'm with my teenage son. I have never once been asked about his age and he has never been asked for ID when I am doing this. I am the adult buying alcohol and taking responsibility and he is not - even if I borrow money for him to complete the transaction - there is only one customer paying at the till at any one time.

“Clean, tidy store. Good selection. Fair prices. Friendly.”

Written on: 18/05/2015 by JonoClouds (3 reviews written)

Co-Op in Cotgrave, Notts. Plenty of choice, products are well displayed and the store is clean and well-lit. Radio was a bit intrusive. Miniature shopping trolleys, all brand new. Long sell-by dates on most items. No problems encountered with discounted items and multi-buys. Most prices are reasonable, a few items are expensive. However, this is a convenience store not a full-scale supermarket so one should expect slightly higher prices. Cashier was pleasant and helpful… Read Full Review
