silverside salmon cut joints of beef at morrisons, and only at morrisons,? As far as i am aware, ARE SIMPLY DELICIous, never had a bad piece yet. I find the customer service at fakenham very good, the only down side is, THE WINE SELECTION,isnt what it used to be, including the price, VERY PRICEY. “I love Morrison and normally do my shopping there....”

Written on: 17/04/2013 by Indra.southgate

I love Morrison and normally do my shopping there. Yesterday I picked up some potatoes and I realised that the date has expired on that same day(16th of April). I asked if that product mark down or be reduced. The person told me the person who normally reduce the price is off sick but I can take off 10% from the price . What I find offensive was the manager quicly made a remark and stated 'take it or leave it' . His attitude was abrupt and rude. (read more)

Having just visited morrisons new Elland store I was taken back by the poor store fit out it had the appearance of a run down aircraft hanger.I don't know what the people of Elland have done to be given such a cheap looking shopping experience as this but I don't think I will bother returning. The car park was struggling to cope with the traffic and was laid out in such a way as to ensure the person at the front of the que that cannot drive blocks up the traffic flow and as we all know in... “Appalling customer service!”

Written on: 27/03/2013 by Kj786

I have visited the Skipton store for many years on a weekly basis but since the store has had a revamp I only pop in now and again as the staff are so unhelpful. They would rather stand chatting with their colleagues than help a customer. There are often at least 25% of the things I want to buy are out of stock, with staff having no clue when they will back in stock. Today was the final straw though. They have re-jigged their flower shop shop so it is separate from the other part of the... (read more)

“DISCRIMINATION AGAINST DISABLED - PORT TALBOT STORE”

Written on: 23/03/2013

On visiting Morrisons Port Talbot with my disabled 72 year old mother all the disabled spaces were taked so I parked in a Mother and Child space. This is common practice at Morrisons and there were 4 other cars parked also displaying a disabled badge at the time. However, on our return we found a WARNING on our car. The other cars displaying disabled badges DID NOT have a warning. I immediately went into the store to speak to customer service and a female member of staff rudely shouted... (read more)

Written on: 16/05/2013

Good on morrisons. I agree all cars parked incorrectly in parent and child spaces should have had a warning but personally I am sick and tired of people parking wherever they like. I have a newborn and 7 yr old. Before the baby was born I would not have dreamed of using a parent and child place with my 7yr old and have certainly never used a disabled space in my life. Perhaps now you can appreciate how frustrating it is for people who have small children who cannot park. We do not have the privelkege of having a badge to say we can pretty much park where we want either.

“Poor Attitude!”

Written on: 22/03/2013 by Frobscottle (1 review written)

I have used Morrisons for many years and have always been very happy to shop there, until today. I went to the Butchery Dept with a pack of 4 lamb chops to get them minted as I have done on many occasions and have never had a problem. One butcher at the counter was busy with cutting meat so I waited for a few minutes until he acknowledged me with a grunt. I asked if I could please have these chops minted. He then explained that I would be charged for that. Huh? I've never been charged... (read more)

Erm.. To be honest having worked in a supermarket myself, the amount of customers that are extremely rude is absolutely shocking. People need to learn some manors - like your self. Understandably the butcher needed to as well but you wouldn't just hand the meat over and expect him to mint it with out saying please or thank you. Now that's rude!

My car had broken down so I couldnt go out of town to buy my usual bag of chicken fillets at M&S so went to the local Morrisons and bought organic as the only alternative was savers. You were refused as a birth certificate is not a valid form of identification. It is not a matter of treating you as a child it is the law. As morrisons ask anyone that appears to be under 25 for ID as a precaution you can always expect to be asked, it literally is more than the operators job is worth to serve you without asking. Unfortunatley you feel as though you have been treated unfairly. This isnt a matter of staff training, it is a policy.

“Lottery ID Policy”

Written on: 29/01/2013 by missjuk (1 review written)

I am writing to inform consumers of the Morrisons supermarket ID policy. If you would like to buy a lottery ticket and the cashier thinks you look under 25 you will be asked for ID. As a 31 year old, you do not always have ID with you to nip out for a lottery ticket!!! Basically they do not acknowledge the fact that the National Lottery sell tickets to consumers 16 years of age and over. If you are 16, you will most likely look under 25. However you may look your age and still be asked... (read more)

Aldoad's Response to missjuk's Review

Written on: 06/02/2013

That is the legal requirement..anyone who the cashier perceives to potentially be 25 or under who is buying an age restricted product will be asked for proof of age. Test purchases are frequent, and often made by persons who look on the borderline of this age group. The consequences for the cashier range from a £5000 fine to imprisonment and a £20,000 fine for the employer. Im fairly sure if I had any doubt I would ask for ID.

Missjuk's reply to Aldoad's Comment

Written on: 06/02/2013

I would not have left this comment had I wanted to buy alcohol, which I did in the same store on the same day.

The law actually states that you are able to buy a lottery ticket from the age of 16. To ME it makes no sense to ask a person who looks 23 for ID for a lottery ticket.

This is my opinion and my review - therefore a response of this nature is not required.

As I have stated above - Morrisons have explained their policy to me, and I am fully aware legalities.

The rudeness of the staff member mentioned is also in my opinion, and has nothing to do with the ID policy.

You think thats bad? at our store if you try to buy a dvd rated 12 the same policy applies! Also at one point before christmas I was in a wheelchair, and was with my friend, she wanted to get a case of wine as presents for her family, so in order to keep pushing me she placed it on my knee, according to the store, that meant that it was definitely for me and therefore refused to sell it to her because although she had ID, I didn't! She was also told that even if she came back later without me, she would be refused sale, because I had been with her and didn't have ID.

It's absolutely true that they do that. I used to get clearance bread and cakes from Morrisons, to feed to the birds....until their disgusting customer service and appalling staff drove me away. The clearance bread used to be placed at the front of the store on a trolley. I saw an assistant, who had obviously been tasked with placing the out-of-date cakes on the trolley, shoving all the cream cakes/pies/family sized cakes into a carrier to one side. I noticed on Sunday 30th December, milk with a use by date of 29th. 3 things annoy me about Morrisons . Firstly putting an extremely similar more expensive product on the shelf where there is an offer on and I don't notice the difference until I am at the till. I am sure this is deliberate. Secondly when there is an offer on and it does not come off at the till , this happens almost every week at least once. So I check my receipt I go to the desk that checks receipts, they check it, they wander off into the store, come back, tell me there has been a mistake, I sign my name and address and for all that I get the money back they just diddled me out of in the first place.Thirdly the rudeness of the staff , make sure you do not ask for help advice or anything just load your stuff onto the conveyor and into your bags the other end and pay promptly

Poor layout, repeatedly found empty shelves, especially on fresh produce. By 6pm the store looked a plague of locusts had decimated it. Paper/packaging on floor, milk section stank of spilt milk going off. Offer sections were often filled with items not actually on offer, as the offer stock had run out. Spirits were also placed as impulse purchases right on top of the tills, which is outside the permitted licensed zones for alcohol in the store. Only plus is the staff are friendly, but... “bad mince concealed under fresh”

Written on: 25/10/2012 by pipsz

I dont shop in morrisons, but popped into the one in Grimsby this afternoon for some mince to make a chilli. I bought two packs of the butchers minced steak, it looked great, bright red and fresh. When I began browning it I found the middle of the meat in both packs contained a thick layer of old brown, mushy meat in the centre. It seemed to me like old meat had been packed within fresh red meat. It was disgusting so I went straight back to complain. The manager offered me 2 more which of... (read more)

“alcohol policy that isn't stated or advertised”

Written on: 23/10/2012

Morrisons in maldon ....I'm shopping with a friend and brought a pack of 4 ciders along with my groceries when I got to the check out I was asked for ID, after showing my ID proving I'm 31 yrs old they then asked my friend who is 29 yrs old and didn't have ID, I explained that it was my shopping but was refused never the less. Apparently the member of staff took it soon herself to make the assumption I was going to give the alcohol to my friend who they considered was under the age of 25... (read more)

“AN ACCIDENT WAITING TO HAPPEN”

Written on: 17/10/2012

just over 3 years ago in their Malden store whilst looking at the vegetables a 5 kilo bag of potatoes fell on my foot causing damage and I am now left with permanent foot problems. This was due to the incompetance of their staff by hanging the heavy bags over a narrow ledge. Even though the incident was entered in their accident book at the time and followed up by a solicitor Morrisons answers were full of discrepancies, denials and contridictions. After my ordeal they have put the... (read more)

Our local store in Kendal has just been given a complete transition. the fruit and veg are second to none, lots of new varietys and beautifully displayed..the butchers dept has also been given a whole new look with more displays of meat than before. A very helpful staff will cut you any amount of meat you rquire in a very friendly and curteous manner.the same goes for the Fishmongers and Bakery. New freezer cabinets make looking for items much easier.I have shopped at Morrisons in Kendal... (read more)

“Appalling Staff attitude”

Written on: 09/10/2012

The attitude of the staff at the Weston Super mare store is absolutely appalling. Twice in the last week I have had rude obnoxious staff, who dont apologise for keeping you waiting. Fire Alarm went off this morning and I knew it was a test as I saw the lady turn the key in the alarm with my own eyes. So out we all trundled, and I politely asked a different member of staff how long these tests took, to which her response was "how long is a piece of string" in a very rude manner and rolling of...
