Whilst complaining about the length of the queues to the person behind me at the checkout I caught the checkout operator looking at me and the guy behind me. I was buying alcohol and the guy behind me was not. But she said she needed ID from HIM as well as me because I had been talking to him. I ordered a phone from ASDA direct 2 days ago and I paid for it to be delivered today. It didn't turn up. So I speak to a useless woman on the telephone and these were her words to answer my problem. "Sorry about the delivery not turning up. I've spoke to the delivery company and they will contact you NEXT WEEK to tell you IF you'll get your parcel". Asda price guarantee, what a joke! Since I started using the self check out most of the things on offer when I scan the items are different to the shelf price therefore no offer. I called them over time after time and they make me wait to check the price to see if I'm lying and they always return and apologise. I started online shopping for the weekly big shop about a year ago, originally using one of Asda's competitors. That company did a reasonably good job but I wasn't always pleased with quality of the fresh produce so one week I decided to try Asda instead and have stuck with them ever since. The quality is good, the service from the drivers and online staff is efficient and friendly and it's even a bit cheaper. I am delighted I made the switch. (read more)

ASDA is the supermarket we use most but feel obliged to since we get a discount. Out of choice I'd shop weekly at Morrisons since it has the best bakery, Deli Counter and Butchers of any supermatker by far! ASDA has it's market though. It does have low prices and laods of promotions (however many force you to buy in large quantities such as 3 for £2 rather than the more simple BOGOF or 1/2 price). Go Asda I am so happy with the service ASDA gives to me. It has now been over two years since ASDA has been delivering groceries to my door.My groceries always arrive on time. Groceries are always packed easily for me to put away and find. Fresh fruit and vegetables are always the usual just picked fresh standard. My 22 year old son went to the cigarette kiosk in asda lower earley and they refused to sell him a dvd rated 12. Bought an jumpking 8ft trampoline off their website which reported that it was in stock. Awaited the 2 weeks delivery period, but received no further communications. When i called i was told they had no stock, and that they would cancel my order, so that i can re-order when back in stock. I went to the Asda Worthing today and was not impressed! I bought a pizza and created it myself. I told the smember of staff what I wanted and she made it with no gloves. When she'd finished we checked it and found she'd added a topping we hadn't even asked for! They had no good puddings and the store was small and had a lack of stock. Overall I'm not impressed! Ordered food to be delivered tues between 7-9pm. Nothing arrived by 9.45, I called and was advised the driver was running behind and would be 15 mins. The goods did not turn up at all!! Asda will happily sell you a delivery time for £5.95 but it seems very unlikely that you will actually get your item on the time you have picked because it doesn't even leave their warehouse until AFTER the delivery time you have chosen. Asda customer service is non-existent, nobody will call you back. Asda complaints are just as bad, still waiting to hear from them.. The wine I like is on Rollback. This means that it is sold out every time I go in. I called the Customer Service department and was told they would investigate and call me back in about half an hour. An hour later I called and was told the person I had spoken to was on break. Eventually he called me back and told me the wine had been delivered to the store early that afternoon. Ordering on the monday for a thursday delivery the goods come on time. Checking my receipt later I realise that they have overcharged me by £35. After getting through to the customer service I was told that there had been a price increase,How can they do that to you!!!!!If someone had paid through there debit card and this had made them go overdraw they would of been charged. This company is the epitome of the word ‘disgrace’. Their customer service is beyond disgusting. They have a front call Asda Flowers which you all may mistake for a florist. I brought minsk white gloss 4 door wardrobe from Asda direct on the 7th of January. The delivery came on time the delivery men were not overly polite just delivered the goods and left which is fine. I assembled the wardrobe only to find that right at the end when all i had to do was put the poles in, was that they didnt fit the length of the wardrobe as they were too short. Asda direct , ordered a cooker decent price in my budget ,only to get a call that the model was no longer in stock so accepted the alternative and had to wait the additional 5 days for the replacement model , only to get a call the day before the delivery date that the replacement was no longer in stock . I've tried to order from Asda on two different occasions, the first time my ordered never arrived ,the second time i was called half way through the day to be told that there was technical problem and my ordered could not be delivered. I used to work in Asda in London.once i went to holiday for a month so after coming back from my holiday my manager changed my shift and put me on night shift instead of my normal shift. I have tried the online grocery shopping experience several times only to be repeatedly disappointed by the sloppy service & bad customer service.Twice deliveries have been late without any reasonable cause. Asda is probably the worst branch I've ever had the misfortune to visit, I don't understand what the hype is all about. If you need any help from Asda Direct whether its from telephone help, in store, or via email, you'll find yourself up against a company who just don't give a damn. The products I ordered in one transaction were delivered days apart by two different companies. Yodel are absolutely terrible as well and just left the furniture half in and half out of the front door. Upon opening the wardrobe was damaged. I thought it was just me ! ive had deliveries that arrived late with no explanation. Todays order was a joke only 7 items were delivered out of a £50 order, the yoghurt had split over 2 of the 7 items.
I had 20 mins+ on their " customer care" line & to add insult to injury they offered me compensation of a Free Delivery next time !!!! they were kidding i assume.
Even Delia couldnt make a meal out of a pot of split cream ,celery, a pint of milk & some ham !!! LOL
Sainsburys do price match everything - so they will be getting my custom from now on. I shall tell friends & family to do the same & hope everyone else does too

We were regular customers at Asda and have spent lots of money there. A couple of months ago, they did a campaign "spend more than £40 and have £5 off when you shop next". We were happy to enter our data online and receive the voucher. When we wanted to claim it we weren't allowed to as there was some small print: you need the original receipt. We should have received our order on Saturday and it never came and it was only when we rang them 2 hours after the delivery should have arrived by that we were informed it wasnt coming. Got the usual 'we tried several times to call you' rubbish but that is just what it was, rubbish. Anyway to cut a long story short (well as short as I can) they took the money on Saturday 19th and as of yesterday we were still waiting for the money to go back in. We made several calls to their customer care who said that it can take up to 5 days. We called our bank, Halifax who informed us that actually all they required was a fax from ASDA quoting an authorisation code (from the bank) confirming they could release the funds and they could then release it back to our account within 2 hours. We gave this info to ASDA who said the department that dealt with this was in the UK and the customer care line we all call is in South Africa and he would speak to the relevant department. They confirmed that they had sent the fax Tuesday lunchtime. Another call to Halifax on Wednesday and they said they had still not received anything. So back to ASDA, they say they sent it and have confirmation etc etc, we told them to resend it, was told UK office shut and would have to be Thursday (today). We called back the Halifax who went back to their relevant dept and they confirmed ASDA had definitely not sent it. However, after explaining our situation, no money, no shopping and a 2 year old living on jam sandwiches they very kindly released the money after receiving assurance from us that ASDA would definitely not try to take the money. Sorry for the long story but basically if I were you I would contact your bank and see if they can give you an authorisation code and a fax number for ASDA to send confirmation of release of the funds and DO NOT believe a word ASDA tell you!

I ordered a sofa from this company on 19 December 2012. By 22nd January it still hadn't arrived. I have called customer services now on four occasions and have failed to get confirmation of when the delivery of the item will take place. Each time I have spoken to them they state that they need to speak to the supplier and promise to call me back but never do. I had to wait to pay at the petrol station whilst the cashier had a cozy chat with the customer in front - who was obviously a friend, and was not in a hurry. He served me without apologising. I ordered my Christmas groceries through click and collect at Asda Benton. I arrived slightly early 11.50 but was told they were behind time. I was told 12.30, so I informed the staff I would wait in the covered area until 12.30 and read my paper, no problem. 1 hour and 20 minutes later I was still waiting and not one order had left the store. I ordered a DVD box set using click and collect. Item tracking confirmed that the item had been delivered to the Cheltenham store but I did not receive any notification of this. I am absolutely sick of Asda's "fast lane" check-outs. I choose to use these instead of the regular check-outs because it's the only way you can check whether the multi-buy offers have been applied. (About 10% of the special offers are fraudulent: they don't get applied at the check-outs.) However, the "fast lane" check-outs are almost unusable if you use your own shopping bags. Ordered xbox console bundle on Saturday morning, all confirmed online for a Monday evening delivery to our local store after 5pm. Ha what a joke! Now Friday, still no delivery. Totally agree with this, I ordered a wardrobe which when it arrived was damaged and the returns label was missing so I would assume it was a previous return. Contacted Asda Direct who were completely unhelpful. They eventually organised a pickup after several phone calls but on the day the pick up should have been between 9.30 and 1.30 but they didn't turn up. Phoned them again to be given the run around, they can't tell me why the collection hasn't been done and won't contact the courier to find out. I said I can't just keep waiting in for them and she said you don't have to, just go out and they will leave a card, like I can just keep re-arranging and waiting in until they do turn up. I contacted Asda customer relations who say they don't have anything to do with Asda Direct and you have to deal with them. Eventually I contacted the courier direct to be told the collection was failed as the drivers had run out of time and the next collection would be another 5 days.
I do a lot of shopping online and they are by far the worst company I have ever dealt with. I would advise anyone to think twice before using them and I certainly won't be ordering from them again nor even shopping in Asda.
