Good Points: The graphics are good, and it allows you to do much more with your units than in previouse Command and Conquer games, such as drop them from a helicopter streight into a building. It also has an enjoyable resource system, if you start out good, in the end you will find it hard to run out of money. If you just get the game you would probably not want to try multiplayer, even if your good at previous Command & Conquer games. The easy computer controlled players are a challenge for beginners. The medium computer players are a challenge for people who have bested the easy. This way you can slowly work your way up until you are ready to take on the hardest settings.

Bad Points: Generals is unlike any other Command & Conquer game. For that reason, the worst part of it would have to be the fact that they use that title. Basically, to the Command and Conquer collection, this is a disgrace to them all. It completely changes everything that made Command and Conquer games so good. With a new form of unit upgrades that didn't come from a box, it just added another thing to think helps you. In the end, its to modern, Command and Conquer is all about the future, and while this is supposed to take place in the near future, the only thing that really shows that is then particle cannon.

General comments: Command & Conquer Generals is a complete change to the entire history of Command & Conquer. But if you just look at it as Generals, and not C&C, its a good game in itself, but it couldn't shine Westwoods shoes. But just because its not a good Command and Conquer, doesn't mean its a bad game. Its fast pace, and requires more strategy, except when you just mass an armada of tanks or planes. Thus the next problem with generals. Massing tanks or planes is much more effective in it, and much more unrealistic. But its just a fun to play game all around.
