I have a £100 sainsbury's giftcard, and as I dont live anywhere near a sainsbury's store I decided to use it to buy an ipad. These appeared online but found that I coudnt use a Sainsburys gift card to purchase online. I then phoned sainsbury's and was advised that the nearest store had them in stock. So I made the 20 mile round trip to the store to find that they didnt have any in stock and had no idea if they would ever get any in stock. They gave me a number to call. I called... (read more)

A trip across town to use a gift card took us to shop at an occasional venue. We had a substantial list of fresh vegetables to buy. Generally the prices were much higher that those we are used to (in fact I said to my husband, shall we put this all back and go to Asda?). Pears - £2.50 a small bag! Leeks - dehydrated and stale at £2.70 a kg. No honeydew melons, surely that is unheard of? Of course brand match told us we had saved lots, but then they bung their profits on the... (read more)

Anyone dumb enough to use sainsburys online shopping deserves everything they get, which will certainly not be the things they think they have used their computer to buy. I would like to recreate the experience Sainsburys online has given me by shitting in their mouths from a great height. I would settle for drilling a hole in the forehead of whoever concieved this monstrosity and brainfucking them with any vegetable to hand that can be simply purchased from one of their rivals. I have been using Sainsburys for on-line grocery shopping for a few years now and am usually very pleased with the overall service. The drivers are always courteous and as I am disabled they take the time to put my groceries within easy access for me. I HAVE VISITED THE STORE ONLY LAST WEEK AND FOUND THAT THE PRICES ARE MUCH HIGHER THEN THE OTHER RETAILERS THAT I HAVE VISTED RECENTLY,I FIND THIS QUITE APPAULING AS SAINSBURY'S ARE MEANT TO BE THE LOWEST PRICED CONVENIENCE STORE. I AM UPSET ABOUT THIS AND I SHALL BE DEBATING WHETHER TO VISIT AGAIN. OVERALL, I THINK YOU SHOULD THINK ABOUT YOUR PRICING STRATEGY AND MAYBE SOME DEALS TO GO WITH IT TO BRING IN MORE CUSTOMERS. Sainsburys has been loosing its way this past year. The products are of a poorer quality in some cases. ie Veg. Nuts and the new colour range Tinned products. They dont seem to be able to supply the consumer with a consistant supply, whats on the shelves one week is not available the next. Especially annoying if you have medical dietry needs. I picked up some TTD cookies from Dingles brach of Sainsburys (Queens road Clifton) about an hour ago (approx 8pm on 07/01/2013) and was thoroughly disappointed just now, when I opened back at home and found them to be very stale. Key points: - extremely poor website design (difficult to place the order) - appalling customer service - unreliable delivery We used to shop with Tesco and they were much better than Sainsbury's, but we tired Sainsbury's because we thought the quality of products might be better there.
