Good Points: nearby
Bad Points: bad customer service
General comments: In my local store there seems to be a lack of urgency among the staff; you wait until they have had their chat and decide to serve you. Long queues don't appear to waken them up. The 'offers' sometimes don't appear at the checkout.

I would like to praise Sainsburys' clothing range TU which i have just started buying. I am so happy to have found affordable clothing in sizes over a size 16 that are modern trendy and at a price that beats any high street store that produces their larger clothing range for the fuller figured woman, I could not belive how much you can buy for your money, I would just like to Thank your Fashion Buyers for the Grace Range of clothing in your stores from one happy customer that right now feels she ...

After being more or less forced to shop at the (what I think) awful Morrison's for a few months (it was the only supermarket in the area) it's such a relief to be able use a decent supermarket now I've moved house.
Sainsburys at Nine Elms in South West London is always clean, the staff are very friendly and the range and quality of produce is excellent.
There's always plenty of parking spaces and a good stock of the smaller trolleys, useful for those of us who don't want a big trolley but buy ...

There is plenty of parking at Sainsburys New Cross. The shop is a large one; a newish one built where the old Millwall football ground was. A petrol station is available, and a Dreams bed shop and Currys is on the same site.
The shop has a restaurant inside, and a chemist and dry cleaners as well. The stock is usual Sainsburys fair. Reduced price items are available throughout the store. These are sometimes real bargains, as in a bag of potatoes down to 25p from £1.80, which is too goo ...

The store in Fallowfield is a short 10 minute walk from my house, so it's an ideal place to buy my food shopping. It's a large enough store to have plenty of choice of a variety of different foods. They also has (near the rear entrance) a stand with different recipe ideas, which you are free to take.
Staff are also friendly and helpful, and the Nectar card scheme is brilliant! I didn't know how many points I had, but once when I went to pay at the till, my bill totalled £12.00, and after ...

I liked Sainsburys. I still like the food and choice, however I am annoyed that in this day and age where recycling is a must and where excess packaging fills up land, they are still giving away non-recyclable plastic bags.
My husband recently got a big amount of shopping at Calcot Savacentre and Sainsburys packaged the following in polystyrene trays with another layer of plastic over them: pears, avocados (with their own natural protective skins) and apples. Also on the joint of pork plas ...

I recently ordered a washing machine to be delivered. I was given a time frame of 11-3 on a Friday and stayed home from work to receive the goods. At 4:30, with no sign of the delivery, I called Sainsburys. They contacted the courier and told me that they would be with me within an hour and a half. At 6, I called again. I was told they had run out of time so would not be delivering that day. I asked for a delivery next day (not possible, no Saturday deliveries), failing that Monday (not possible ...

I find Waitrose less expensive and by fare a more pleasant place to shop than Sainsburys. I only use Sainsburys as a last resort.

I think Sainsburys is the only supermarket out there that is getting the balance right for what people want when they go to the supermarket. If you go to Tesco or Asda then the first thing you have to do before you get to the food section is walk through aisle after aisle of non foods items, then when you get to the food sections you have to fight to get past all the cages and empty boxes in the way to get to a shelf and when you get to the end of every food aisle there are more TV's and Video's ...

My local Sainsburys is far superior to TESCO! It is not only larger, but has a superior range of Non Food! Looking on with fright at Morrisons (which in Northern Ireland has now been bought over by ASDA - noooooo!), it is the only quality food shop with reasonable prices, good staff and quality in everything they do or sell. Their basics range is superior to the TESCO Finest Range, and I never fail to find my rather exotic culinary desires! With well priced DVD's and homewares, Sainsbury is now ...

I am heartily sick of poor stock levels at Sainsburys. I have purchased frozen boneless chicken breasts for years and suddenly they are unavailable. I e-mailed Sainsbury's customer services on this subject and received a reply stating that they were being phased out because of lack of demand as customers preferred to buy fresh chicken breasts and freeze them themselves!!! I have never heard such rubbish!! Fresh chicken breasts are twice the price of frozen ones which is more likely the true ...

Sainsburys: The "supermarket" is essentially a Sainsbury supermarket as far as I am concerned - having been brought up in the Sainsbury area, so I tend to gravitate towards Sainsbury`s ... I HATE the name "Tesco", it sounds cheap and nasty and has nothing to offer me, Morrisons sounds dodgy and Kwik Save is where you go for dull, dead food.

Sainsburys: A generally good supermarket selling quality goods at a reasonable price, however I feel that they have a serious supply problem!
Empty shelves are common and fresh produce is often at or near its sell-by date.
Unmanned checkouts often remain closed even when many customers are waiting in line.

Resonably good choice of items in a normal Sainsburys store. Expensive compared to other super markets but I feel Sainsburys food products taste good. I had a few problems here, Once I was charged twice for the same item which I reaalised only after going home, so I had to let it go. Another couple of times I was charged the full price although items were put on offer but because of the previous incident I was cautious and therefore asked them and they reversed these items to offer price. All th ...

Following the loss (it became Morrisons) of our local supermarket, I have had to look further afield. We now make an almost 100 mile round trip to Sainsburys in Edinburgh - usually Cameron Toll. The petrol offer does help with the trip. The range and variety of foods more closely matches the range and variety of goods that I long for when I visit continental supermarkets. The prices are fine but who counts pennies when you are looking for quality and choice?

I hate the way Sainsburys don't have enough people on tills, despite adverts saying that they'll open a new till for anyone waiting behind more than 2 people. Liars!!
