I bought an electric toothbrush from the online store, I got an electric toothbrush (eventually), but not the one I ordered shown on the website. I was not offered a replacement but sent an returns label when I complained. Selfridges sent me a partial refund, even though it was not my fault I was sent the wrong item. Time was 1400 to 1600 on 9/9/14, I could not believe ROJA sales assistant behavior is so disgusting. She ruined my all day, she has demolished selfridges well-known status.

“The worst shopping experiance of my life”

Last month I contacted selfridges customer service to ask about the bodymetrics scanner, a service that selfridges offers to their clients. I explained that I will travel to London because I wanted to test this new technology. I live in Germany and we don't have this technology here. Following a period of ill health, I treated myself to a shopping trip to London. Purchased a beautiful dress in Selfridges costing over £100 and left it with concierge on the lower ground floor. I agree with you. judging from the majority of the views expressed here..Mr Selfridge is twirling in his grave at the new lax standards they now accept from their staff. Sad, really. Marshall Fields was my Selfridge experience while it was still around. Wonderful products and customer service for everyone!

Lets start by saying I like the London Store so thought it would be a good idea to shop online with Selfridges as they are a well known brand. I wish I didnt. I know exactly what you mean. I returned a handbag over 4 weeks ago to the Oxford address as it was faulty and am getting nowhere with them. The handbag was £250+ and the stitching was coming apart within the first week so sent it back for a replacement. Emails are going back and forth and they have requested proof of postage on a couple of occasions and still nothing, no refund, no replacement or a reply either.

“Useless online”

Tried to pay for online order using Gift cards - none of the cards were accepted. I called and was told that there was a problem and they were aware but to keep entering the card numbers and pins and it will not be charged. I did this and then nothing happened. I had very disappointing experience today. I ordered a 32 gb kindle hdx online for next day delivery yesterday. I received a 16 gb one. Lucky for me I spotted this from the outer-packaging and didn't break any seals. I wanted one quickly hence the next day delivery and I was told that they need to pick up the item and process it at the warehouse before sending the right one. “Do not order online for delivery”

I received a gift of a wallet that was £300+. Badly packaged and not with the cloth cover from the luxury brand but a cheap selfridges cotton drawstring bag. The box itself looked recycled with very creased paper. If it wasn't a gift I would have returned it. My strong suspicion is this item that was supposedly brand new had been recycled or used and repackaged to send out again.
