Nightmare customer service from such a beautiful well established store. I've shopped with Selfridges for many years. However never will they get a sale from me again. I purchased an expensive, designer coat from Selfridges' online store on 18 December 2014. The website gave my size as being available. After having placed the item in my "basket", much to my delight, I saw that the system had automatically reduced the item by 50% (writing in red stating: sales AW14 50%). Order 1: Ordering nine articles. After a week, order still shows 'in progress'. Contact customer care, who tell me 'Sorry, all nine items out of stock' - bad luck. Why did it take them so long? I agree with you. judging from the majority of the views expressed here..Mr Selfridge is twirling in his grave at the new lax standards they now accept from their staff. Sad, really. Marshall Fields was my Selfridge experience while it was still around. Wonderful products and customer service for everyone!

I know exactly what you mean. I returned a handbag over 4 weeks ago to the Oxford address as it was faulty and am getting nowhere with them. The handbag was £250+ and the stitching was coming apart within the first week so sent it back for a replacement. Emails are going back and forth and they have requested proof of postage on a couple of occasions and still nothing, no refund, no replacement or a reply either.

Tried to pay for online order using Gift cards - none of the cards were accepted. I called and was told that there was a problem and they were aware but to keep entering the card numbers and pins and it will not be charged. I did this and then nothing happened.
