BE AWARE!! I booked a week in advance for someone to come & measure up for a kitchen. The customer care seemed to be your the customer & i don't care. It proved this when they didn't even turn up. I rang up & all i got was we apologise for this but we had a wrong phone number. Err we had an appointment why ring me. Appointments are made to keep. Do not buy a bnq kitchen. Our kitchen cost 8000 pounds and after 3 years is peeling and damged. Store only offered very small partial refund on the doors, appalling. Go to ikea, you get a large guarantee period, we wont be buying anything from here again. Bought eight rolls wallpaper @£24 per roll. Checked we had 8 matching numbers however noticed shading different on walls. On a section below numbers were letter codes. We had taken 6 different letters on 8 rolls. Paper also code checked by very helpful girl on checkouts. The men I dealt with at Hermistongate Edinburgh dealt with our complaint. “Valspar paint - bad quality”

B and Q is one of the worst customer service complaints service. Have no knowledge of the products they sale or any care for the customer. Bought Valspar paint, after two coats came out very patchy, took nearly 3 days to dry and this is the worst paint I have ever used. DO NOT BUY IT or believe any of their advertisement that is doesn't need primer or it covers with first coats. The reality is that: 1. Need primer 2. Need at least 3-4 coats 3. Rude, arrogant, unhelpful, miserable staff with poor product knowledge, who fail to apologise when they regularly overcharge you on the ticket price! After several years of putting up with it, today's rudeness was the last straw. “b&q paint colour”

Don't buy b&q paint colour daft as this sounds it doesn't stick to the wallpaper propelled you roll it on and when the roller passes over it again 20 % goes back on the roller never seen anything like it. They said they can send it for testing but u can't have your money back for at least 8 week so I took my money back without testing. December 2014 - spent 3 appointments with B&Q Chelmsford trying to design a very small kitchen from a measurement plan and very detailed photographs.... it was to replace like for like nothing too hard. Supply only they had fitted my father-in-law's kitchen but done such a poor job we were not going to have fitting as well.... (that's another story).... “HomeFit Service Unfit for Purpose”

Ordered wood floor to be fitted using B&Q home fit service. Never in my years even as an average DIYer have I ever seen such shocking work. Six months later my floor is still separating, squeaking and unfinished. You can place a £2 coin "everywhere" between the gaps. Customer service at B&Q HomeFit is appalling. Finally paid myself for a surveyor to expertly report that the floor is "unfit for purpose". Even though B&Q promise work guarantee try and get them to honour this, impossible. B & Q staff are suffering from lack of instruction, training and product knowledge. Whilst trying purchasing some Cooke & Lewis kitchen cabinets the amount of incorrect and conflicting information received was mind-blowing and resulted in incorrect and incomplete deliveries of items, which then had to be returned, etc. The whole process was and continues to be a hugely drawn-out and time-wasting experience. After ordering items costing over £300 and taking a day of work the items dont turn up. I ran b+q and they said there computer system didnt take the payment properly so i would have to wait another 2 days as the items were now confirmed past their cut off at 3pm.
