“No customer service”

Bought a spraying machine for painting the fence which broke after using if for 2-3 minutes only! The pump had broken! Had to drive all the way in to stirling to get it replaces and once we were there the manger who according to the sign had worked with them for 29 year started interrogating us and questioning the fault, and accusing us to have used it wrong until we shows her the instructions manual.. “B&Q want me to pay more AFTER I purchased kitchen ”

Purchased B&Q IT kitchen on finance, on 19th July 2014. Arranged finance 1 week before actual purchase. Spent nearly 4 hours designing kitchen, as most products we wanted were either discontinued or not available for 6 weeks plus. Eventually decided on kitchen. WE WERE THEN OFFERED 20% discount. “Excellent in every way”

I ordered a kitchen from the bexhill branch in sussex and from start to finish they have been fantastic. All of the staff I dealt with we're helpful and professional. Nothing was too much trouble. Even when some of the items had to be returned (because I changed my mind about some things) they arranged to collect the items and refunded my money in full. “Door knobs not refunded”

Purchased 3 doorknobs but found that only one could be used as 2 were faulty. Went back to B&Q in Neath, South Wales to request a refund and was told that I needed a receipt despite having the make and part number on the packaging. I requested to speak with the manager because the assistant wouldn't accept that I had bought them at the store but they left and did not come back. “B&Q service & faulty overpriced products”

I purchased separately two 3pc drill bit sets on 4th June 2014. Both sets had none true small bits so today I took them back for credit or refund. I did not have a receipt for the second set. The first thing the assistant didn't say was; sorry you have had a problem lets see if I an help. “B&Q abysmal service. Faulty identical drill bits.”

visited B&Q today to take back faulty products. I only had a receipt for one product although both were clearly theirs. At the service counter the first thing was a staff member was asked to review the cctv footage to see if I had stolen it! I had not. I was offered a replacement for one drill bit set but not for the other. Ordered garden furniture from Homebase- was informed of delivery slot the night before and phoned half an hour before actual delivery - perfect! Ordered a few tiles and some other bits last week for delivery today. Waited in all day but nothing. When I contacted them to find out what was happening was told my road was closed. Obviously I had a pretty good idea of whether my road was closed or not since I spent most of the day staring out the window waiting. “Dishonest company, avoid at all costs”

I bought some paving slabs and paid for delivery. They arrived on the correct day but then I found that 2 were broken. After a 25 minute wait on the phone, I spoke to someone about it & was told replacements would be sent. They weren't. I got in touch with customer services who said I would be contacted. I wasn't. “Paint Disaster - Don't B&Q it!”

We recently moved into a new home and decided to change the colour of the walls. B&Q recommended that we purchase Valspar paint where the colour mixing system had recently replaced Dulux. We were told it was a far superior product with better coverage and colour match. Nothing could be further from the truth. “Think hard!!”

Just a little point Chasewood was a small family firm but up over 25 years with no problems until they joined B&Q!! And yes I believe they did have a flood which ruined 95% of there stock and yes they have gone into receivership with lots of redundancies..... Just a bigger point, it might have been a family run business initially but latterly it was run by big time wannabes who wanted to play with the big boys and hadn't got a clue how! Chasewood might have survived going into administration if they learned how to say no to the big boys and concentrated on your family roots business instead of feeding your greed to fund your lifestyle. Now instead of thinking about your own little world, just have a think about the bigger picture....think of who are also out of pocket, there are many more casualties than you seem to recall that stand to loose their livelihood and homes but WE will be swept under the carpet. WE are not big or small companies, WE are real people with small mouths to feed.

Got a kitchen from b&q (£4,000) and a wardrobe (£1250) Got half kitchen called up they said I have to wait 28 day ( by this time builder run away never come back loss off £3000 depo I gave them ) after 28 day they said we sent it all and we not sending any more sold on eBay for £250 big loss , wardrobe damage called them told them it's damaged and gave barcode off box with b&q sticker on it they refused and said this it now our item. B&Q Stairfoot, Barnsley - the most de-motivated staff on this earth!!! Apparently the female Russian Store Manager has been appointed to sack as many staff as possible over the next 2 years as the store is due to close. “delivery shambles of kitchen and unhelpful staff”

We have received the kitchen in dribbles and drabbles which has caused delays and we had to let the fitters go onto another job. “Chasewood Fitted Bedrooms”

Good First - The Products appear to be of a good quality. Now the Bad - Chasewood never return calls, don't stick to agreed dates and don't let you know that parts of the furniture are missing and that there will have to be another installation date for the remaining bits until they have arrived on site and the fitter finds it out for himself. “Chasewood furniture - sold at B&Q”

I have to feel sorry for B&Q for letting such a poor company to trade in there stores. Chasewood furniture is an absolute disgrace. Unfortunately I have the same problem. If I were to write my timeline and complaint it would literally be the same. we had a fitting date and they never turned up. We had the same problems as stated above to getting the fitting date and then when we called the night before, we were told they had had a flood and our order was damaged. with what had happened up till then I felt I could not believe them.

I can only re-iterate the message above - do not use this firm - we have nothing to show for our payment and it has been purgatory to deal with them.

So many broken promises, absolute disgrace. I believe that B and Q are severing the relationship.

I absolutely agree with this review! Please DO NOT use Chasewood furniture. This company is an absolute NIGHTMARE to deal with. The amount of complaints that me and husband have made to is unbelievable!!!!! They keep on promising that the furniture will be delivered and we are still waiting 4 weeks on with no fit date. The amount of time off we had to take off and then no one delivering the furniture is now amounting to weeks.
We have spent £7000 with still no fitted furniture. Do NOT waste your money.

Found out yesterday that Chasewood are now in Administration.
I am in the same position as a lot of other people, unfinished installation and missing doors - perusing this with the Credit Card Company now !!!

Same position here. Totally unreliable service from the moment the first installation date was dragged out of them - pulling teeth would have been an easier thing to do! Even speaking with the MD failed to make any difference to the process or gain any information that might lead to them actually delivering on the service and products purchased.

“Simply don't care”

Ordered a barbecue for delivery. Driver rang neighbour's front door bell not ours. Had waited in all day, but luckily noticed their card after about 10 minutes. DX delivery, the courier company, took 20 minutes to answer the phone and then said the driver was too far away to turn back. This was a Father's Day gift that needed timely delivery.
