Went to the Livingston B&Q today to order a garden shed. Came across two of the rudest disinterested salesmen we have ever met at B&Q (who are usual so helpful)The first grunted a reply without looking at us, the second reluctantly took some details then disappeared to get information on a product he had never herd of and he never returned. We found the product on the shelf four foot from where we were standing when we spoke to him. He did us a favor by disappearing as while we waited we... (read more)

I used this store to make an on line purchase I have never had so much trouble with an online purchase. The item cost £14.99 + £5.00 Delivery. They sent me an item worth about £2.50 and on contacting them was told I could purchase the item from one of their stores which was an hour away by care. I had to take the wrong item back to them pick up the correct item. I’m now £5.00 delivery + Fuel cost out of pocket. It appears that they don’t care so I suppose they have offshore accounts... Went to the B&Q near Newcastle. Really put off by the in-store music which was far too loud - couldn't concentrate on my bathroom purchase to the extent that i left as soon as I could. Not sure why it is necessary to have such loud music - why have music at all anyhow, it's irritating. I guess it's a reflection of the half-wits who run B&Q - not a place of intelligent people. Made the mistake of visiting the Old Kent Road store for some gardening machinery and summer furniture. I've never seen such a shambles. Dusty shelves, most items damaged or out of stock and they must have the only plants in the UK that haven't seen any water in the last few weeks. After spending over £13k on a new kitchen, we had problems with the sub contracted fitters, very shoddy workmanship it turns out. After being installed for less than a year, the very expensive tap is peeling, the under unit lights are failing (3 out of 6) and its not the bulbs. We have been advised by an independent electrician the the light units have failed. The cooker hood lights have also failed.
