Good Points: The children's entertainers were excellent and trustworthy. Pizzas were good.
Bad Points: A run down and badly managed resort where even the staff admit that the powers that be do not care about anything except for filling rooms.
General comments: There is no way on earth that the Pecatello Resort Hotel should be classed as 5 star. The bedlinen is appalling - the pillows stank and the beds were damp, the floor tiles were broken and there were cockroaches in the rooms and on the beach which were never removed. The cleaners, when they turned up, were useless. There was only one restaurant open in the evening, which is not enough for the size of the resort, and this meant that people waited up to an hour to be served.
But the most disappointing thing about the Sands Beach was the behaviour of some of the guests. One man was thrown through a plate glass window, teenagers were openly taking drugs, whole families were drunk and disorderly until the early hours. Whilst we were there, seven families were evicted - someone should make a tv programme about this place. Will we go back? What do you think?!

We have now stayed at the Costa Teguise resort for the past 4 years, and will be going back again in Oct 2004, we were married there in 2001 and the staff could not have done more for us. The site is well laid out and easy for disabled people, one of the joys is that you do not need to take anything with you, all you require is there, including hair drier, iron and board, bathrobes, towels for the pool and there is no fighting for a sunbed, the toilet facilities are good as the wash basins are s ...- Read duffaire's review (177 words and 2 comments)

My parents bought into the timeshare at Pecatello Resort Hotel LBC, then were talked into 'upgrading' to IVC points system. Our first visit was 5yrs ago and then it was a lovely place to be with families that respected the resort and the residents around them. Great evening entertaiment and a variety of daytime outdoor activities offered. Year by year the entertainment has gone downhill. Our 2003 holiday at pecatello was the worst to date because it is now open to general bookings. Don't get us ...- Read BoredbyU's review (205 words)

Don't be put of by the reviews of people with using the reviews for there own hidden agendas. I believe there was a problem with regards to timeshare a while ago at the resort, but if like me you have not bought a timeshare then you should have a great time.- Read jimbo1872's review (86 words)

We have just spent 2 weeks at Pecatello Resort Hotel and found it very pleasant, clean and tidy. Excellent service all round with lovely food. It is within reach of most of the island and the shops in the area are hard to beat. There are plenty of restaurants in the area, so walking is no problem. The sea is a stones throw away and a lovely sandy beach a quick walk. The children are treated with respect and very welcomed.- Read Bearlywise's review (85 words)

Villas in need of refurbishment. Food dull, and poor, staff especially manager, and timeshare touts very rude, place needs scurbbing down, and the pool had some fecal matter at the bottom which was left by staff for a week before being removed. Perhaps I shouldn't complain because we had a free fly buy trip with a load of drunken friends.- Read David Sterling's review (67 words)

We found Costa Teguise to be a delightful, picturesque environment. It's clean and tidy, with a daily maid service, and all staff were friendly, polite and very helpful.
The resort make every effort to cater for all needs with a variety of entertainment, clean pool towels daily ,a fastlaundry service, and well equiped accomodation.
The local area is somewhat quiet, but you can find plenty to do if you want to make the effort and there are lots of good excursions on offer. We paticularly reco ...- Read steff a's review (144 words)

Rooms not cleaned while we were there. Cutlery unclean. Swimming pool dirty. My wife was ill after eating food bought on the premises. The prices charged for drinks and food on site were a complete rip off as compared to other places we visited.- Read RIPPEDOFF's review (78 words and 2 comments)

Villas advertised as 5 star yet not at all like the brochure. They are sub standard with no room for a family of 4 and very basic cooking facilities
Everything extra has to be paid for such as squash, kids club T shirts etc
The whole resort had a deserted feel to it with no one around in the evenings- Read unhappy's review (82 words)

What more can I say. The place is awful. We rented an apartment there for 25 pounds direct from the resort. Only ten other families were there. The entertainment was cancelled, and 4 pools drained due to leaks- Read davemarkwilliams's review (83 words)

I personally found the Sands Beach Villas very nice and well kept. There were plenty of staff around. The villas were kept clean with maid service, the villas are provided with either partially or fully fitted kitchens allowing you to cook instead of eating out. The resort has an in-house grocery shop with resonable prices. The resort outside the villas is nice, with plenty of restaurants and entertainment to suit everyone, both families and couples. I would definately recommend the Sands Beach ...- Read Yoshthedosh's review (125 words and 4 comments)

All the sales pitch in the brochures sounds great, however we would not go back to this complex if offered for free. We visited other hotels & apartments in the same area which were better value and did not have the poor standards encountered within this complex.- Read 161160's review (98 words and 2 comments)

This is the holiday from hell. Don't go there it is badley managed and dirty not at all 4star as they suggest. Costa Teguise is also a very boring place with dirty beaches. I would not recommend this place to anybody. They also advertise as the Sands luxery beach club. What a laugh- Read loadsoffun10's review (73 words)

What a shame. What could be a lovely resort but spoilt by a total lack of interest by management towards the client. The food was uninteresting and uninspired. The accommodation was not clean and needed updating. And what is it with the "wide boys" parading round in their designer suits, sunglasses and aftershave. Not what I have come to expect from a 5* resort. Sadly disappointed.- Read Lanzielassie's review (78 words)

I was very upset with this resort, it is very badly maintained and we had constant visitors, cockroaches and mice. Management was not very helpfull when we complained. The swimming pools are dirty and many people were ill with bad bellies after swimming in them. I do not recommend anyone going to the pecatello resort hotel.- Read beau's review (64 words and 3 comments)
