Before administering the Gripe water to our baby, we looked at the list of ingredients. However, it only lists the active ingredients. It says on the package that the mixture does not contain sugar. However, it does contain some sweetener - I tasted the stuff. Who in their right minds would give something to their child that contained an artificial sweetener which is not even declared on the package. Shameful if you ask me!

My slightly pre-term baby was very uncomfortable during and after feeding. She is bottle-fed on Cow & Gate Nutriprem2 as recommended by the SCBU in the hospital. This product contains all sorts, far too long to list here, but includes Prebiotic Fibres, which I believe may cause excess gas and irritation in the (very young and underdeveloped) stomach. This, together with the air bubbles present in warm milk and the intake of air at the start of almost every feed, causes considerable discomfort to ...- Read CornyO's review (304 words)

Very effective, but I can't find it anywhere to purchase it. I can't find it anywhere. Zellers, Walmart, etc., used to sell it. Now, I haven't been able to purchase it for some time.- Read Guest's review (38 words)

I can't continue using it because of all the preservatives. They should make it natural otherwise it is not safe!- Read Guest's review (30 words)

I would like to know why Morrison's in Gibraltar is telling its customers that this product has been removed from the shelves and is no longer being produced because there is a query whether it is unsafe for babies?
Are you still producing the product for export?
Other Chemists in Gibraltar no longer sell this product and obviously I am concerned.
This product has been used by passed down generations of mums and I am quite puzzled since it is sugar and alcohol free.- Read Guest's review (84 words and 1 comment)

Is a life saver. Wish I had known about 10 years ago, with my first daughter. Very effective. My 4 months old daughter has had pretty bad gas, whenever I give it to her, it takes only a couple of minutes for it to work.. This stuff is awesome.- Read Guest's review (51 words)

Having 2 babies with an appetite of a sumo wrestler, it is not surprising that both have suffered from griping pains and trapped wind.
By putting 2.5ml of Woodwards gripe water into each bottle, it alleviated the trapped wind, and helped them to settle down after each feed.- Read helenshields's review (97 words)

My son is now 3 months old and he experiences griping pains a lot of the time, as he gulps the milk down like there's no tomorrow! Woodwards gripe water is excellent, and it offers very fast relief for the baby and ourselves! Highly recommended and good value for money. The only minus point I have is that the bottle has to be thrown away after two weeks, which is a waste if the bottle is three quarters full!
I guess that's why it only cost's £1.50 or so.- Read jimmbeam72's review (102 words)
