    Good Points: Light, easy to use, well put together.


    Bad Points: The bow supplied is of very low quality. Shoulder rest could be better.


    General comments: The Fender FV1 is a great looking instrument, great finish and all in all extremely sound for the money. The only areas I would say this needs to be improved on is the shoulder rest (OK but could be better) and the bow (buy a different one and you should be fine). Sound quality pretty good but obviously differs slightly from the acoustic sound of a wooden violin, using a different bow than the one supplied improves this though. The FV1 is really light and easy to play, and technical support is second to none (we are talking about Fender after all). All in all would definitely recommend this as a handy piece of kit. Room for improvement but overall great value.
