this saxophone is ok. it doesn't have horrible sound quality but the sound is not full or warm like you would want in a saxophone. the case is bulky and heavy, not the kind of case i would prefer, but again not horrible to the point of being unbearable. I found my jupiter sax would break more often than i expected, it was very unrealiable. Also when you purchase a jupiter, the saxophone will not come with everything you need to play. A jupiter tenor saxophone is perfect for a student looking to rent a cheaper instrument for a year or two, but i would not recomend it for some one looking to buy a saxophone for long term. i would say pass on all jupiter tenor models and instead go for another brand such as yamaha (which are fantastic).

I have nothing but praise for this sax excellent value for money and gives a professional tone with good action. Need good mouthpiece but if sax set up well blows well through the range. Excellent intermediate student model. I have gigged a lot with mine but have now bought a Selmer series 2 which seems a logical step.
