The Yamaha 667V french horn is very good for orchestral playing as well as general use. very nice range ability, bright tone

When I blow hard into this horn, the sound spreads and it doesn't hold a good core. The horn feels good to play, but the sound it produces is not good quality.- Read Guest's review (32 words)

I am considering purchasing either a Yamaha 667 or 667v, ... In my opinion, you have a better chance of getting a good horn "right out of the box" with a Yamaha than with most production horns.
