I was looking for a riding school in my local area so I looked online to find bank farm reviews are good.. but when I got there I realised that was not the case staff were very rude it's Ok maybe if u know everyone but theres a lot of two faced people there.. If u haven't been I wouldn't recommend it as they aren't good at accepting New people onto the yard. SHOP AROUND IF I WAS YOU I now go to a new farm in addlington and it's amazing and a lot cheaper.. ,

Chester and I had a problematic time at the school. He was a lovely horse to ride when he could be bothered, such a nice canter transition, but when he was in a mood, blimey! I think he was a horse that would benefit from a single consistent rider, as he just seemed a bit put out by giving lessons sometimes.

I found Bank Farm Riding School to be a lovely riding school, ever so clean, tidy and the horses looked fab, until i had a lesson and then it was let down time. They are way too cramped. I had up to 10 in my lesson, and how is one supposed to canter to the back of the ride when you find your canter only lasting seconds and your up some other horses behind!!!! So i tried another riding school after reading the reviews and i am glad this wesbite exisits. I now ride every week there and the lessons are a maximum of 4-5 people, and the instructors care about what they teach you instead of just giving you the odd eye contact every now and then. Shame about Bank Farm you really need to decrease your numbers in a class instead of trying to increase your income!!

I have had lessons at Bank Farm Riding School Poynton, Stockport since I was 7 on and off, and wouldn't rate it highly. I felt the class sizes were far too big and some of the horses are too unpredictable for an inexperienced or nervous rider. I didn't like the fact that they made everyone in the class swap horses as I am quite nervous and was scared to swap onto a horse which I didn't trust. The last time i went to Bank farm, I went on a hack and the horse I rode wanted to bolt the whole way through the ride- I had to hold her back the whole way and it really put me off. I can't believe that horses are still being used that are so old. I don't like the stalls that the horses are kept in either- they are far too small!

Overall Bank Farm is an OK ish place to learn how to ride, I just feel sorry for the poor horses who work alot more than they should be doing. Until the point where some of them collapse in the riding school ( This has only happened once whilst i was watching my daughter ride, but still)
