We used to have lessons at Bank Farm, until we moved house and bought our own horses, who now live at home.
Origianlly we bought two of the horses from Bank Farm..Some people might remember 'Dave' A dun cob, and 'Billy' A bay pony.
Dave's feet were in shockingly bad condition. They were boxy, and Dave was very foot sore. Both horses had terrible teeth, and the Equine Dentist commented on this.
In my opinion, the riding school does not have enough grazing for the amount of horses they keep there ...- Read Guest's review (232 words)

Clearly the person who wrote this review does not understand the fact that some horses with a full winter coat do not need a rug on (depending on their type). Of course this means that they cannot be groomed to the extent that a stable kept horse can be but it certainly does not affect their well being. The horses at Bank Farm Riding School are well cared for and they have so many because they cater for so many different levels of ability. They also have hay in the field and so are not, as it is ...- Read Guest's review (276 words)

I found Bank Farm Riding School to be a lovely riding school, ever so clean, tidy and the horses looked fab, until i had a lesson and then it was let down time. They are way too cramped. I had up to 10 in my lesson, and how is one supposed to canter to the back of the ride when you find your canter only lasting seconds and your up some other horses behind!!!! So i tried another riding school after reading the reviews and i am glad this wesbite exisits. I now ride every week there and the les ...- Read Guest's review (148 words)

Bank Farm riding school Poynton, Stockport is the best i was going to go to glen jakes but then we saw the price and bank farm glen jakes was £18 for a half hour lesson and thats over double of bank farm.
We went to watch our friends before we came and it was awesome.
For the first time we went there they put me on Blue a shire horse and to be truthful he was too big but that was not their folt because the had never seen me before so that didnt matter.
My fave horse there is Tonto he is ...- Read tontolover's review (165 words and 1 comment)

I really love Bank Farm Riding School. I have been going for 2 years and 4 months now, and I can see myself doing it for much longer. I had a private lesson for my birthday, which I really really loved, and they are great if you want to move up a class, improve or gain confidence after a fall. The staff are really nice, and patient. My favourite horse has to be Chanti. They have lots of different classes for different abilities eg Beginner and Intermediate. I think Bank Farm makes you feel real ...- Read Guest's review (197 words)

I have had lessons at Bank Farm Riding School Poynton, Stockport since I was 7 on and off, and wouldn't rate it highly. I felt the class sizes were far too big and some of the horses are too unpredictable for an inexperienced or nervous rider. I didn't like the fact that they made everyone in the class swap horses as I am quite nervous and was scared to swap onto a horse which I didn't trust. The last time i went to Bank farm, I went on a hack and the horse I rode wanted to bolt the whole way th ...- Read Guest's review (188 words)

We first went to bank farm to buy a horse but we decided to have a few lessons there first just so we got used to the place, the lessons are good and we do often do different things each week eg jumping, or flat work, they have 2 areanes and indoor and out door which i thin is good becasue in the winter you can go indoor and in the summer you can go out door, I think that all the horses are really nice and well looked after, all the horses are mostly well behaved in the paddocks for you apart fr ...- Read kadiie's review (199 words)
