I found this while working in a cocktail bar and instantly fell in love. It has been my drink of choice for a year now (along with cachca). This is a serious contender as a smooth vodka, better even than belvedere or grey goose in my opinion. very easy. Try an escalator martini or the "frisky bison" cocktails. both superb. Price wise for 18 UK pounds it's a steal and i would usually expect to find a vodka of similar quality for double if not triple the price.
I like the blade of bison grass...

Good as a snaps or a shot, but slow drinking. Looses taste when cooled too much. I hate Vodka but I LIKE Zubrowka Bison Vodka. (read more)

Oh my dear! this is SUCH great stuff! first time i tried it was in Japan, where it is easy to buy. this stuff is extremely good for a low- to medium-price vodka. heck, it's extremely good compared to everything else i've had, even Luksusowa. Absolut is garbage compared to this (like drinking rubbing alcohol), and Suntory is worse than paint thinner after you've tried Zubrowka.
if i could find some of this stuff in Canada, i'd compare it against Chopin and then see which i like better... ...

I first encountered this vodka while I was a student in Krakow. A Swedish student introduced it to the group with apple juice as a mixer. I shortly changed to water to better enjoy the real flavor of Zubrowka Bison Vodka. It is inexpensive and delicious. I wish, now that I'm back in California, that I could get the real thing. USDFDA means United States Department of Food and Drug Administration. Basically, this means everything entering, and often those things leaving a third country have to undergo a review of this agency. The USDA determined that Mexican liquors, with a worm in it (Mezcal) was Okay. Vodka, with a bit of grass was not acceptable. You decide upon where the USDA stands. I don't know. All I know is that an inoffensive vodka is restricted, and a Mexican drink with a WORM in it is allowed free entry. Sounds like racism to me.

Wow those guys on the other side of the Atlantic need to sort out their prioritys when it comes to letting food stocks in. I agree is seems quite harsh however are you sure that the grass is grass and not in the narcotic sense.

<br/>Thanks for the meaning of USFDA, cause of you I am now a little wiser.

First tried Zubrowka Bison Vodka whilst in Bialystok, never forget how easy it is to drink. There are no harsh aftertastes, which are generally common with most spirits, and the distinctive flavour of the bison grass marries extremely well with the vodka. Once tried, never forgotten (unless you have one too many)!
Recommend putting your shot glasses in the freezer and the bottle of vodka in the fridge, this was how they drunk it in Poland.

Zubrowka Bison Vodka is a true Polish treasure. It is very unique in its flavor and taste. Mixed with apple juice in 1 to 2 ratio and served on ice with a slice of lemon (known as Tatanka in Poland) makes for the ultimate summer time drink. Very refreshing and satifying. All of the reviewers who state that it should be served chilled are wrong. Chilling Zubrowka prevents you from fully experiencing its wonderful aroma and taste. In that regard Zubrowka is like a good Brandy or Cognac.

I love to have several shots of ICE COLD Zubrowka Bison Vodka in between several glasses of a fine microbrewed beer. It makes you want to go out and paint great works, write great poetry, compose fantastic works and overthrow the government . (read more)

Zubrowka Bison Vodka must be kept in a very gold store or in the deep freezer. In my experience it tastes good mixed 1:1 with apple juice (Polish women like it that way). Best suited for apperatifs and is an especially good taste to losen up a party. (read more)

Zubrowka Bison Vodka - A Polish friend took me to a Polish bar in London where we had some traditional bites with this fantastic vodka with apple juice which really complimented its flavours. I would definitely recommend trying out some Polish food alongside the vodka. (read more)

The best tasting and most plesant vodka I have ever tried. We met it in London at a caviar Russian restaurant. The vodka enhanced the company at lunch and left no after effects. We bought a bottle from the restaurant and brought it home and have doled it out very carefully for the last four months. It MUST be kept in the freezer. (read more)

I am not typically a vodka drinker. I was introduced to Zubrowka Bison Vodka in Austria, mixed 1/3 Bison Vodka and 2/3 Apple juice. I must mention, I am not a big fan of apple juice either. (Please also note the Austrian apple juice is much less sweet and strong than American apple juice) The taste was so mild and pleasant, I was an instant fan. I am also not much of a drinker, I drink strictly socially and for the pleasure of a good flavorful drink, so I tend to be open minded and... (read more)

This, amongst other products that I have found within The Spirit Company's range is especially difficult to obtain for the general public. I had seen it available in bars and restaurants but now I can buy it online too!
Service of the company was excellent, the product arrived the following day and there was even a fixed delivery charge, no matter how much I order!
Well recommended.

Zubrowka Bison Vodka sounds really nice I have never seen it before but I must look out for it. Could you tell me what USFDA means though?
