“Outrageous Deduction From Fully Paid Policy”

Written on: 17/06/2016 by AmiahDelaney (1 review written)

Have just put the phone down after speaking to Carol Nash Insurance Company. I took out a policy with them on 10/5/2016 for my new Triumph America unfortunately this bike has had a major fault, and the dealer has agreed to give me a full refund. Called the insurance company to inform them of the details and that I would like to cancel this policy and that at present I would not be buying another bike. I was horrified when after only having this policy for just over a month and paying £125.45… Read Full Review

“Beware £50 fee if you leave. Lacking that personal touch.”

Written on: 29/04/2016 by englishlakedistrict (4 reviews written)

I had my HD insured with Carole Nash, when over 10 months into my Policy I bought a newly released bike after checking with them that I could easily switch to the new model - £67 was quoted. However once my new bike was delivered they changed their mind and said the new model bike was uninsurable with the underwriter Highway Insurance (as it was not yet listed with the Assoc of British Insurers) ...only later quoting about triple my previous cost and quadruple the excess with another… Read Full Review

“Rip Off Admin”

Written on: 13/04/2016 by 178Carroll (1 review written)

Informed them that I had passed test and was no longer on a CBT and they charged me a £40 admin fee. What a rip off, complained to customer services but got nowhere. Would not use again, dread to think what they would be like with a claim… Read Full Review

“Fraudulent, Unhelpful, Costly, Rip Of merchants”

Written on: 04/04/2016 by Coltenw382 (1 review written)

So where do I start, Basically Carole Nash started a new policy on a bike that I already had insured. Including a credit agreement and taking an unauthorised payment from my bank account for this policy. Took an hour and a half to sort the problem out on the phone. Do not touch them with a barge pole… Read Full Review

“I don't like being ripped off ”

Written on: 28/03/2016 by wayne1965 (1 review written)

I have been with CN for years my bike and now my car. I went to cancel my car policy due to selling it and I was charged £50 for the privilege. £50, what a rip off for tapping a few keys. When I asked why it was so much I was told its in the policy and it was a charge to cancel the policy and let the likes of DVLA know. When I asked them if one of the staff was going to put £50 of fuel in their Jag and drive to DVLA to tell them it fell on deaf ears. To that end I will ring about and get… Read Full Review

Written on: 23/03/2016 by PISSEDOFFBIKER (1 review written)

My Insurance has gone up again 3 years on the trot... this company should be looking after old customers instead of passing all the best deals onto new customers...very disappointed in your customer services i have tried to call today and been on the phone for 45 mins and still waiting to be put through to renewals this is unacceptable... i was then told by the customer service that no one was available to talk to me about discounts on policy's.... when i called sales i got an answer within 2… Read Full Review

“misell you policy hidden catches”

Written on: 29/02/2016 by raz1971 (1 review written)

I had paid for my insurance for the full year and then my bike was stolen. Not only had they changed my policy to a £600 excess which I most certainly did not agree to when buying policy over the phone, But my fault for not checking the written documents sent after. But they also said this made my remaining policy void, even though i had paid for the year but then had the cheek to charge me for cancelling it!! Terrible, avoid at all costs!!… Read Full Review

“Very poor service and high cancellation cost”

Written on: 30/01/2016 by Burts (1 review written)

Spoke with the adviser who I found rude, not a very professional tone. I called to cancel my policy part way through as sold my bike, tried telling me I need to pay £350, I was never told about this over the phone when taking policy they just advise you can cancel and to read terms, you should be advised of this key fact. I will be complaining to the FCA... feel mis sold… Read Full Review

“Good All Round”

Written on: 10/01/2016 by KarleeStiles (1 review written)

I've only been on the road for a few months now. I went with Carole Nash because my farther has been with them for over 5 years. Their price was reasonable for a 50cc compared to other companies and it was an English call center. about 2 weeks into my policy, i broke down on the a38 near plymouth. Phoning my farther in distress at 1am in the morning he told me to call carole nash and gave me a phone number. I called them at 1:30am in the morning and they had a recovery there by 2:10am. What… Read Full Review

“Just don't have an accident!”

Written on: 02/11/2015 by Carverhd30 (1 review written)

Hopefully you'll never need to ring them to claim. The worst insurance company there is, following accident I was told my bike would be collected for inspection, and claim would move forward. After searching to find what had happened in regard to my bike, was told they didn't have it and had no idea where it was! Managed to find it (due to own tracker) it was still at accident site 3 weeks later, never assessed or recovered, I recovered bike to my home. I still have no replacement vehicle or… Read Full Review

“They Stink”

Written on: 27/10/2015 by Mjlincs (5 reviews written)

Hi I have just sold my faithful Scimitar SE6A which is very sad but what made it worse was cancelling my insurance with CAROLE NASH - £50 cancellation fee on a fully paid up policy, I said in that case don't cancel it because I have removed the cherished number and it will be on retention so no one can double insure the car but they would not listen and I owe them £50 and if I don't pay they will pass it to their debt collection agency. I think CAROLE NASH STINKS… Read Full Review

“ do NOT EVER use Carole Nash.”

Written on: 26/09/2015 by JohnInUK (1 review written)

Do NOT EVER use Carole Nash. I paid about £105 for my motorbike insurance. When I phoned to cancel just 2 months into the policy (after selling my bike), I was told my refund would be just £5 !!! When I queried this, I was told I had to pay a £50 cancellation fee. Yes, really! £50 !!!!! For a £105 policy! Apparently, this is written somewhere hidden deep inside their terms and conditions, deliberately put in a place where no one will see it before they sign up to a policy. I will never… Read Full Review

“Charged Me £40 to Cancel a Paid Up Policy!”

Written on: 14/09/2015 by tyzz (1 review written)

Great until I sold my bike and called to cancel the policy. I was told that they were going to charge me £39.62 to cancel the FULL PAID UP POLICY. I wish I'd not rang and told them the bike was sold and let the policy runout. How can they be legally allowed to do this? This was a fully paid up. Nothing outstanding and no claims against it. £40 to cancel a policy which still had 6 months left on it. I was prepared to have absolutly no refund on the remaining time on the policy but to be told… Read Full Review

“Automatic renewal takes advantage of the unwary.”

Written on: 27/06/2015 by Kirkpatrick476 (1 review written)

I have insured with Carole Nash several times over the years, and whilst not the cheapest I have found them to be ok. One of the things that I liked was that they did not go in for auto/renewal " to protect me ? " If I could not remember to respond to my renewal notice then I don`t think I should be on the road. I got my renewal a few days ago and the premium had risen to £192.00,and they would auto/renew unless I contacted them. I went on line to Carole Nash and found the same cover for… Read Full Review

“Ridiculously overpriced”

Written on: 04/06/2015

Recently Carole Nash invited me to renew my six wheel insurance policy (bike and car combined) for the outrageous sum of £1028. As a 49 year old driver / rider with 20 years' no claims discount on my car and 15 years' NCD on my bike, this renewal quote was just extraordinary. A quick look on a comparison website allowed me to reinsure my car and motorcycle with two highly reputable insurers (AXA for my car, and Bennetts for my bike) for the total sum of £554. This is a full £474 less than… Read Full Review

“How to make sure they never get your business again !!!”

Written on: 22/04/2015 by spanky1832 (1 review written)

Stay well clear of these people! You would imagine that for paying a premium price you would receive premium service....WRONG WRONG VERY WRONG !! I sold my bike and needed to cancel the policy, as won't be looking at another bike for a few months, expecting to get a partial refund as only under 3 months used but instead I was informed there would be a £50 cancellation fee for a policy that cost a total of £129. RIDICULOUS !!!!!!!!… Read Full Review

15 years of renewals with CN, in that time, one request for a letter of cover, six telephone calls wasted to them chasing it up. They won't pass you through to a supervisor if unable to help, they dont phone back when agreed, they dont email you when agreed. Appalled I renewed with them for so many years!… Read Full Review

“scam”

Written on: 12/03/2015 by mac0460 (1 review written)

I recently had to cancel a Carol Nash motorbike policy with 8 month still left to run (approx £75.00 of value) and due to cancellation charges Carol Nash Insurance charged me £14.00 for the privilege of cancelling the policy. That's what is called customer service, having worked in the accommodation industry for a number of years running a very successful B&B we would not have survived if we had took this attitude with our customers which were mainly repeat business. Be very careful on the… Read Full Review
