    Good Points: Close to other skiing regions like Austria and Switzerland is not too far off either. Cheaper than other skiing resorts.


    Bad Points: Not as entertaining as the major skiing resorts like Ischgl, St.Moritz, Zermatt and so on, snow might not be in the best condition due to its altitude.


    General comments: Garmisch belongs to one of the biggest skiing resorts in Bavaria and has also hosted the Olympic games.
    There are numerous cottages along the slopes where you can have a snack or a glass of wine or two.
    The number of slopes come up to 28 which stretch across 55 km altogether.
    People from all over the world come and spend their skiing holidays there and it is easy to go and spend some days in neighbouring Austria or Switzerland. Snowboarders are offered a half pipe and a fun park. And the Sonn Alpin restaurant is a popular meeting place for after hours.
