Good Points: Compact Easy to use Good outdoor photos
Bad Points: Slow to start up Very slow between shots Colour often poor on indoor shots Uses up batteries very fast
General comments: Outdoor shots are brilliant with the Pentax option S40 digital camera, but colour is often poor on flash shots. I would not buy another camera with AA batteries as they run out so fast. I found it very slow if you want to take a run of photo's quickly.

Pentax Optio S40 - After reading a range of reviews on this site and others, I was a little unsure as to what camera to buy. I decided early on that it must be 4mp, use AA batteries and use either SD or CF. After reviewing what was available in this country (New Zealand,) the choice came down to 2 cameras, both with a pretty similar price, this, the Optio S40, and the Casio QV-R40.
