Good Points: Have owned this camera for a few years now and it gives good results

Bad Points: Poor zoom and wide angle

General comments: I bought a lens adaptor kit and external zoom and wide angle lenses which were a good buy, but you are back to camera bag etc for carrying although it makes up for the limited built in lens range.

The Sony CyberShot DSC-P120 is a wonderful camera. I used it for a month in New Zealand and had very few pictures I didn't love. It fits in my pants or breast pocket and is so easy to use. I love the fact that it has a viewfinder because it is easier to hold the camera steady when looking through one. I suspect the folks who get blurry photos use the screen instead.

This has been the best buy ever ever! I took the Sony CyberShot DSC-P120 travelling for a year and the ease of use features are fantastic. The battery length is amazing! I really can't say a bad word about it. I am looking for one for my sister now!

Obviously not many people read the instructions... You need to hold the trigger button down half-way then allow it to focus with a steady hand, and THEN press it all the way down to take the picture. I have taken thousands with my Sony CyberShot DSC-P120 digital camera, and maybe 1 in 50 come out poor because I moved when taking the picture. Not a digital camera or film camera made will allow you to dance in circles and hit the trigger. Digital camera's are a little slow on focus because they us ...

I am sorry to be reviewing such a good make. I bought the Sony CyberShot DSC-P120 digital camera during the summer of 2005, and I have been extremely disappointed.
The photo quality when zoomed is very poor. The flash is poor. The settings are very complicated. Also, when I have uploaded pictures onto my computer, every single photo I have taken has been blurry, so effectively ruined.

I wouldn't advise buying this camera to anybody.

I've used quite a few digital Cameras over the last 6 years, and this is by far the best! I take a large number of photos (well over a thousand a year), and I can honestly say, the quality of the photos I can get from this camera is amazing. I use a 35mm SLR camera for "real photography" and this for fun and convienince, and the SLR definitely produces better results, but it should as the lense is about 6 times bigger. The thing that amazes me is that the P120 isn't that far behind, and I hav ...

If you just got yourself a Sony... you did a perfect job! P120 with Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar not only take good shots but movies also (not seen before on Canon with 30 sec limitation or Kodak with poor quality). For those whom aren't got high performance shots with this cam check with the store and ask for replacement of camera. And first read the manual on specific information on how to take different type of shots...from low to high quality.
    I've got a p120 and let me tell you... a Canon A ser ...

I feel sorry to write this review as I grew believing Sony is the best. When I wanted Digital Camera I went for Sony DSC P120 as it was beautiful and my prejudice for Sony brand. I know this review will be ignore by all, so do I, because I am writing against the best brand. But what I advise is after you buy the camera, test it thoroughly, take few prints. Check with other ones (Canon, Kodak). Return it if you are not satisfied (I am sure you wont).

Sony CyberShot DSC-P120: I have found this to be a bit hit-or-miss. It is capable of very good shots indeed but the flash is poor and it is very hard to see camera shake on the screen.

Replaced my Sony V1 probably a better enthusiasts camera but size and start up time is worse than p120. Leather case and battery approx £80 if bought separately!
