I sold a long barrel 35 not long ago it had been sat in the lads granfathers cupboard for a long time. It was one of the first to have the synthetic piston seals and bore the W.Germany stamp on the breech so it was early 80's. I was distraught to see it go as it was so accurate I'd put a titan xs spring in and made my own delrin washer's for it to lessen the noise and reduce recoil. The purchaser said he could'nt believe how smooth it was an paid in full without haggaling!! I have another... (read more)

I bought a .22 Weihrauch HW35 air rifle second hand for £160 in an army surplus and its amazing! First time round i had bought a Walther CO2 rifle with an 8 round mag for £150 second hand but the mag kept jamming and it would fire 1 or 2 pellets before messing up. so i took it back and tried out the weihrauch. couldn't be more impressed! It shoots very nicely and is currently equipped with a 4x40 scope sighted in at 30yards approx with the .22 marksman pellets which aren't ideal but offer... (read more)

I have just sadly bought a second hand HW35, i cant group more than 3 shots any tighter that 4 inches @20 yards (even bench rested.)& at thirty yards trying to hit a 3 pint milk container was a real challenge. Rhe Barrel lock is a real pain & i have become really annoted with the automatic safety catch. on the plus side the stock is nice however a little chequering would n't go a miss (read more)

After fitting it with an uprated ox spring, i took it to remove some rabbits at a garden i was working at. Carbine model with Hawke 3-9x40 scope and silencer which made cocking the short break barrel alot easier, but somewhat annoying for quick quiet reloads. Sighted in at 25 yds to start with the first two bunnys fell to straight through head shots. The gun was really punchy and capable of much better range, so i set it at 40 yds and carried on. More rabbits fell the accuracy never failing,... (read more)

I recently got this air rifle new for £215,
I got home and too impatient to put the scope on, I fired a few pellets with the open sights, I'm not a fan of open sights but the ones fitted to this gun are very good. However the thing I was most impressed with is the trigger, very smooth and just the right pull wight.
over the week end I didn't some tests, (using air arms field diabolo pellet)
50 yards will easily get 1 inch group (with some flyers, but I've only fire it about 200... (read more)

I got this from my next door neibour for a present, this item came with a £120.00 scope and a sheep skin case, i will never get rid of this as it has a great range of firing and also the aim is spot on and id love to start hunting with my air rifle, but as im only 14 i can not get my own licence and would have to start learning of people who are dedicated to these air-soft weapons.... thankyou (read more)

Ahh the trusted name of Weihrauch, again and again their rifles / pistols never cease to please.
I picked up a HW35 mine was 2nd hand (may have been 3-6th for all I know) and was very happy with the £40 bargain price tag. Although this was for just the gun with the factory set barrel and end action iron sights. No fear as a swiftly mounted 11mm dovetail scope was added in no time and being a 3-9x32 scope would provide plenty of magnification for this gun.
First impressions as with all the... (read more)

I was given this gun by my cousins uncle who has had it for quite a while so when i got it i was a liitle doubtful whether it would work. I gave it a good oil and it shot like a dream. Ive had other air rifles but this although heavy is better than them all by far.

I have owned my Weihrauch HW35 for 25 years now. It was an airgun "club "gun when new but was tuned (stronger spring etc) and referbished just before it was offered to me by the club owner. I bought it and it is still the best airgun I have.A friend of mine has a comressed air gun (no recoil) at 20 yards he can put 5 pellets into a target less than 20mm round.. I can only manage the same at 30 mm . But my gun will kill small prey at 50 yards no ploblem. His is far less likely to do that.... (read more)

It so happens that i own this Weihrauch HW35 air rfle and i personally thnk that it is brilliant.
this air rifle is a brilliant starter rifle if the potential owner is new to the sport.
The weight is distributed evenly throughout the rifle.
A karbine version is availble.
brilliant wood stock and body.
Will last as long as the owner does! Quite heavy, not ideal for carrying for long periods of time. (read more)

Great gun for pest control, hunting or tin cans. I've had my HW35 since I was 15 and that's some 25 years now. I have always found to it to be very reliable and incredibly accurate. The stock is comfortable and the gun sits nice and snug. Once you are familiar with the rifle you will be amazed at how precise this gun is, even at long range. The pellet goes where it should. I used to knock over spent shotgun cartridges from 35-40 yards without too much problem! Whilst there are comments... (read more)

I purchased my HW 35L from Air Rifle Headquarters in 1971 when I was a kid. I still have it, just recently reblued everything and refinished the walnut stock. This was my first introduction to high quality air guns and back then nobody my age had one. I learned to deal with the recoil and once I had that down the rifle was deadly to small game and birds. I could nail anything up to about 50 yards.
The only maintenance was to replace the spring and the breech seal. Keep it in good shape... (read more)
