“Cracks in the po part. ”

Written on: 15/08/2011 by RGSC (1 review written)

My 3L s/steel p.cooker developed two 6-7cms long splits in the pot part of the cooker. They didn't occur whilst cooking (which would have been a disaster), but appeared while stored in the pot cupboard. Its been there for about three years little used in its lifetime The p.cooker was never dropped or damaged in any way but is now only fit for recycling. I am Very disappointed with this product. “I have a Butterfly 3 lt pressure cooker and find it...”

I have a Butterfly 3 lt pressure cooker and find it the right size. I am cooking for 4 persons and use it every day for potato's, stews and anything which needs more than 15 minutes to cook. Easy to operate and you can hear when it come up to pressure and to go and turn it down. I could not do without it. The customer number has changed to: 01323 423458 in case any one needs a gasket or spare part. (read more)

I think one should expect to wait a few minutes for the pressure to come up and then adjust. Usually if the liquid overflows when cooking it's because too much food has been put... (read more)

I think the Butterfly Elite is too small, see above. If the heat is not regulated precisely the pressure valve releases. Also high heat easily rises up the sides and burns the rubber seal as the diameter of the base is not wide enough. (read more)
