    I would be very wary of using this company! do so at your own peril.
    Atrocious service, false promises made which have cost me a loss of earnings.
    Their staff promise anything to get you off the phone but the promises never materialise. There is no ownership of customer issues and they simply don't care!

    I placed my order over a week ago after their website claimed it had my choice of laptop in stock (70 Units). I called on tuesday to be informed that they werent in stock but was told it would be delivered without fail by friday. Beware of advertised stock levels... Im sure this much breach trading and advertising standards?
    I was flying out of the country on monday for a very important assignment. I explained that if there was any chance the laptop couldnt be provided by friday I would need to cancel the order immediately and make alternative arrangements. I was told not to and the laptop would arrive.

    I phoned friday morning to be to told the laptop had not even been ordered despite the earlier promises!
    I was told it would be delivered on saturday without fail...guess what it didnt arrive."

    Laptops Direct are horrendous. Please do not buy from here. I ordered a Sony Vaio but too my horror they actually sent me two laptops and charged me for two...unfortunately they were delivered to my work address so did not know I had 2 until later. Thinking that I would just have to call customer service and obtain a refund for the laptop I did not order and uplift was a big mistake...most ignorant customer service person I have ever spoken too insisting it was not their fault and would not pass ...

    I will never use these again.
    Faulty laptop received, promised return and refund. Four failed collections.
    Parcelforce claim collections were never advised. One week later still no collection and four hundred pounds out of pocket.

    Laptops direct very quick to deliver but after sales and returns are a complete nightmare.

    A disatrous company. I am going to dispute the purchase with my credit card company.

    I was a little hesitant to order from Laptopsdirect.co.uk after reading some of the negative comments posted here, however they were the cheapest around (£60 cheaper than HP) and did have the laptop that I was looking for in stock. I had originally placed on order directly with HP, but after a couple of days, HP informed me they could not deliver on time and did not know when the laptop would be back in stock, so I promptly cancelled.

    Wouldn't recommend Laptopdirect to anyone. Bad customer service, their fast messaging is not working, cant reach them to exchange my Mac even there is no problem with Apple as they would exchange faulty laptop.

    Bought a refurbished netbook, £100 cheaper than anywhere. Worked great for a few days and then after a minor mishap, it wouldn't boot up. Called their customer services and tried to blag a replacement, but they insisted I talk first to an engineer. Thought, OK, we'll just have to say what they want to hear.     I was slightly wary about ordering from laptops direct having read some of the bad reviews on here. However I decided to shop with them having found that the Laptop i was after was over £50 cheaper than anywhere else - even other internet shops.

    I liked the look and feel of the website and ordered an Acer 6930 on the web, at a brilliant price. I chose next day delivery at £14.95 (not too bad) especially since the overall price was over £45 still cheaper than elsewhere.

    It did what it said on the can, I looked up and down the website, bit slow in places, found the right product, checked it against other suppliers, ordered and paid over the phone, collected the same evening with the memory upgrade done. Thanks guys would highly recommend to others.

    After sales service atrocious. Less than 5 months after purchase backlight went. Five phonecalls(non returned)& a week later laptop was collected for in house repair. No call from them but arrived back 3 weeks later from Acer restored to factory settings with no back up.Their response "we should have rung you to ask if you wanted anything backing up before we sent to Acer, sorry". Wouldn't touch them again with a barge pole!

    Dreadful experience. I ordered a £1500 laptop on the Monday for delivery on the Tuesday (£14.97) as I was home to accept delivery.

    On the Tuesday morning I checked the status of my order to track it and it was not dispatched. I sent a message via their messaging service as they state you will get an answer quicker that way.     Idiot and Rude Customer service, Unfortunately ordered a Laptop Bag and guess what they sent me a used one. Had to return it. Things were all good till this part, but now nobody is showing up. Useless to call their helpline. They keep transferring u to some manager and he says v'll call u back within half an hour. Its been 8 days that i am waiting to complete this half an hour (Which they promised 4 times) and i haven't got a thing yet.

    Laptop and external DVD Drive were delivered on time. However when I tried to deal with them when the external DVD Drive failed their customer service were truly terrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't buy anything from them in the hope that you will get any kind of help other than a one line - Contact the manufacturer - response. Completely useless!!!!

    AAARRRGGHHH. my worst ever experience shopping online. It's driven me back to the high street. Thought the price was to good to be true. If you doubt my review, look at the number of positives against the negatives. You can't please all the people all the time- but these have made most of the people unhappy most of the time.     I never normally use review websites, but I have had such a bad experience with these rude people that I felt compelled to spend the time to warn others off using Laptops Direct / Buy It Direct Ltd.

    THERE ARE PLENTY OF OTHER WEBSITES TO USE, DON'T WASTER YOUR TIME AND MONEY HERE.

    After I checked out my £600 laptop, I had a sales call from Laptops Direct to say that many of the laptops they sell will come through faulty, with "pixel loss" on the screens. Apparently, this is not deemed as ...

    Customer service people wont call you (unless they want to sell you something). They'll take your money and then tell you the item is out of stock. Shameful. Do they want returning customers? I assume not. My recent experience is that they are not a customer focused company once they have your money. They simply do not call me back when I have asked them to call me.     Laptop from Laptops Direct was cheaper than elsewhere, website easy with lots of info & advice, posted constructive responses to customer queries & prompt & detailed responses to my query mails. constant email advice of progess from LD. Arrived 3 days after ordered & seems A1 - my experience, couldn't ask for more.

    Laptop Direct - terrible customer service from start to finish. I ordered a new laptop to arrive in time for a business trip. Sent faulty laptop, so couldn't take it with me - major inconvenience. I returned it and then it turns out they lowered the price of this laptop. I asked to refund the difference, since the replacement would not arrive for another 10 days, but they refused to even to give a credit voucher. I decided to ask for a refund and bought same laptop elsewhere for £50 less. ...

    Laptops Direct sent me a second hand faulty item not a refurbished item, their customer service wouldnt speak to me and said i might receive a call back in 24 hours. I was also told there was nothing they could do and I wouldnt receive a replacement. Absolute sham of a company bad service from start to finish.
