Good Points: Every track is good.
    Something different.

General comments: I dug this Scissor Sister's album out and played it yet again today. I never tire of hearing it. It is zany, different and a refreshing change!

I first heard "Laura" on the radio one day and didn't catch the name of the tune or artists, so I kept listening out for the circus band sounding beginning! What a catchy tune! I asked a friend if they knew who it was by singing a bit (poor friend), and I was told it was Scissor Sisters. Of course I had to buy it!

I never buy singles so once I found the album, I still didn't know the name of the tune "Laura", as they only actually sing the name once, at the beginning! I put the CD on in the car and out it boomed! The lovely circus brass band song!! After repeating it a couple of times I let the album carry on and I was very impressed.

This is music to be happy to, lifts your spirits, and you soon find yourself singing along to it. Just be careful who can hear you though, Singing out "Tits On The Radio" may get you some odd looks! Keep the car windows up and then sing your heart out!! Yes there are a few swear words in it, but I can overlook them! Just stick in your own words when singing loudly!

I love Pink Floyd's "The Wall" on which is the original "Comfortably Numb", but I love the Scissor Sisters version! It is too different to be compared.

When all is done, this is a great album, and it will be listened to by me for a long time to come. I haven't yet heard their latest album, but it will have to go a long way to beat this one! If anyone can let me know what the latest album is like in comparison to this one, please leave a comment! I may just have to buy that one too! Or not!

Scissor Sisters, Scissor Sisters is a cracking album - if you've ever enjoyed any songs by Elton John, David Bowie or The B52's then you'll probably like at least half this album. If you're a Pink Floyd fan, you may be incensed at their treatment of Comfortably Numb, but hey - get over it and give it a listen!

Scissor Sisters, Scissor Sisters - W00t!! 1st review!!! Anyways *hype over* I first heard about Scissor Sisters when they did their first proper gig at Brighton Dome. At the time they had only 3 singles released 'Electrobix' 'Laura' & 'Take Your Mama' all of which were overlooked by our CD-buying public until that gig. Their phenomenal stage performance which included an amazing finale full of horror-movie characters has been described by singer Ana Matronic as their 'best performance ever.' Th ...
