    Bad Points: Low ground clearance.


    General comments: Greatest looking car to come out of Europe in the 1950s and 1960s. Classic styling.; strong, powerful engine and drivetrain; excellent handling;' draws a crowd wherever you go.

    You have to try a classic to realise how much fun they are, and how much more stylish than a modern car.

    If like me you are still unsure which one to buy, or even if you can afford one at all, then hire one. Some places are really expensive, but I use Wooklums - www.wooklums.co.uk - Wooklums give a really good price on classic car self drive hire, and you can get a MK2 Jag for a day for £199, also E-Types, Bentley's, and Alvis... pretty much everything you would want to try before buyin ...

    The Austin Healey 3000 is Probably THE most fun car I've ever driven. Handles well (for a 1960's vintage car). Very easy to work on, everything is accessible, and parts are easy to find.
