General comments: couldn't understand the bank of scotland 'easy to register' at all as im not an it nerd and a beginner in the computer world so after a few attemps to 'sign in' again i give up and will go into the branch and tell them to cancel my paperfree statements.

"Registering is Easy" you say. Not so! Do I need to be a IT Nerd to simply register? If you wish to see an example of user friendliness I suggest you refer to "Amazon". Look and learn.

This is the most pernickety and irritating online account site I have the misfortune to have to navigate. So I am closing our Bank of Scotland Internet Banking account.

Trying to tell you that I have presented necessary documents to validate my bone fides to my local branch last Wednesday (despite being a BOS customer for over 40 years. I find that my new savings account has yet to be activated. After 400 transactions the Bank of Scotland internet banking system deletes every record. Yes every single one - other than those in the past 5 days. As such you are left with no transaction history, and they have no way of restoring the deleted transactions. Incredible. All they offer is a printed version of the deleted transactions which is posted to you.
