This perfume is attractive to some people but repugnant to others. It's like Choisia flowers: Perfume to some but smells like cat's urine to others. I've had to see less of two friends who use it as I don't want to offend them. It actually makes me gag. I've heard others say similar of Elixir. If you use it, please be aware that some people are repelled by it. Must be a genetic thing. (read more)

I love Aromatics. I've worn it on and off for years, and although I try others in between,I always come back to this one. I love the way it lingers on your coat/scarf, and makes me feel really good as soon as I spray it on- and it lasts too, with the base note being more subtle than the top note you get for the first hour. This is a very strong perfume so do not be too lavish when spraying. One squirt on your wrist and you will smell it all day. This is definitely a Autumn/Winter fragrance as its a musky perfume. I wear this in the evening as its not suitable for day time at work. I think its on the same lines as Estee lauder's Youth dew so if you like that one, you will probably like this one? (read more)

This stuff ought to have a warning label! My wife has worn Aromatics for the entire 25 years of our marriage. The way it mixes with her body chemistry is nothing short of magical. A single whiff of her wearing this, and I have just one thing on my mind (and it isn't watching TV). And it lasts ALL day long. Total strangers, men and women alike, are constantly stopping to ask the name of the fragrance that she's wearing. I recommend you try it--just be careful who's around. :-) (read more)

A lady must have a bottle of Elixir on the top of her boudoir. A perfume needs to be present, it has to be around us and Clinique Elixir is one of them. (read more)

I love Clinique Aromatics Elixir, but on my skin it mutates slightly, so that it becomes less appealing. So my answer is to spray a little on my hair or clothes - don't you just LOVE the feeling when you pick up your coat, or scarf, and find yourself enveloped in a delicate cloud of your favourite scent? Gorgeous!
But... a word of warning. This stuff is POWERFUL. I work in a shop, and if a customer is wearing this scent, then I can identify it from 6 feet away, and they leave a scent...

Clinique Aromatics Elixir has a cloying, overwhelming, heavy-on-the-spicy medicinal kind of scent on me. One spray will last you a long, long time. In fact, a spritz/walk-through would probably be more than enough. It's woods, jasmine and spice--it could give heavyweights like No. 5, Youth Dew and Opium a run for their money. Definitely test this all day prior to a purchase so that you don't risk wasting your money. (read more)

Clinique Aromatics Elixir is the perfume; I think it is one of the nicest perfume ever, it has a beautiful smell; I love it and so do the men. The perfume is long lasting so you only need a couple of short sprays to leave a trail of fragrance behind you.
