Good Points: I managed to get everything I ordered.
Customer service was good.

General comments: 5 Stars Electronics gave me no problems at all when I phoned to tell them that my Rapid Charger did not work. They told me to send it back for a replacement, and I received a new one in a timely fashion.

I called prior to ordering my $5400.00 order to be sure that they had all my items in stock. I was told over the phone "Yep I have it all in stock".
So over the web I placed my order. I Called back 30 minutes later to "finalize" the order, and was then pressed to purchase extended warranty services and additional camera lens filters, and warranty. As soon as I said no thank you, all of the sudden my items were backordered with a ship date of "4-6 weeks". This is your typical New York sales ...

After spending 14.00 dollars to send back two items that was sent to me in error, I have yet to hear from the company. They will also put you on hold for a hour at a time hoping that you will hang up. When you finally talk to someone they are real rude and not very helpful. I have contacted my credit crd company dispute dept. to try to get this problem resolved.. They my have the lowest price but they are not worth the hassle.

5 Stars Electronics: I called the company to find out more info on a Canon camera I was looking at. The guy was unhelpful and kept stating that the information was on the website. It wasn't and I stated that was why I was calling for confirmation of what was included for the price stated. The man on the line then began with his unhelpful comments. I stated 5 times that I wanted to speak with a manager, but he kept repeating the same unhelpful statement. I hung up and called back, but guess ...

DO NOT BE ATTRACTED BY THE ATTRACTIVE PRICES - I READ THESE REVIEWS AND IGNORED THEM BUT LEARNT THE HARD WAY - They said the notebook I had ordered wasn't available, Sorry. When I said it seems like it is on your website, the guy just laughed. Very Screwed up!

I bought the Sony DCR TRV80 from www.5starselectronics.com. Got call the next day on my cell phone, bad connection, a member of staff wanted to "upgrade" me to a better camcorder. Being 18 years old, I said "sure". went to work, got online, found out they were trying to send me a camcorder that was totally inferior to the one I was trying to purchase and tried charging me $400 extra for it. I tried to cancel since it was not the camcorder I wanted, they kept me going back and forth for 5 HOURS!! ...

You basically are dealing with crooks here! 5 Stars Electronics give you a low price on a merchandise (that they don't really have in stock), and solicit you to purchase additional accessories for it.
It happened to me!
I called them back in less than 10 minutes to cancel the accessories, I sent number of emails and canceled the additional order, but they claimed that the merchandise had been processed and mailed.
They are plain crooks!
Don't fall into their trap.

Save money and time and ...

5 Stars Electronics - I ordered a digital camera, Sony F-828 and the order was processed; then came the backorder for 5-6 weeks; after several months I called to inquire about the order; no information was available because the "warehouse" had not informed them yet; no further estimate for expected time of delivery was available; the order was cancelled.
