“2006 Victory Hammer”

Written on: 12/06/2014 by Steve1948 (1 review written)

Love this bike. Bought it new and for the most part it has been reliable. At 10k miles had to rebuild the front fork and replace the seals. At 24k miles the transmission has failed and needs to be rebuilt. From the first service I complained about the noise from the transmission. Was told that was normal. The throttle body has to be constantly cleaned to keep the bike in good running order. Available dealers is limited and parts almost always has to be ordered. I like the bike but would not… Read Full Review

“Major necessary parts discontiued”

Written on: 19/03/2014 by odMoore268 (1 review written)

I have a 2003 V92c Classic Cruiser. The speedometer quit working and it is combined as a sealed unit in the instrument cluster mounted on the headlight. In less then 10years this very important part seems to no longer be available. The answer I received from dealers and Polaris itself, the best answer is I can no longer use a motorcycle because it is useless without a speedometer. They could not even give me an alternative. I own a 2000 Harley Fatboy that the Victory mimics. There is no… Read Full Review

“Poor quality, Poor dealerships, Australia.”

Written on: 01/11/2012

Hi. I had a 2011 Victory Vegas. Continual problems with transmission , fuel injection, torgue compensator , many unexplained and concerning noises. Dealerships in NSW Australia had little knowledge and less effort in correcting problems.I had many large capacity bikes over thirty years. This was one of the worst. The bike was a real heap of Junk. Lost a lot of money to get rid of it. Underhanded Dearlerships… Read Full Review

Jblackstock's Response to Bull 53's Review

Written on: 24/07/2013

I have this same model. I put five thousand miles on it this summer, mostly riding two-up, bringing the bike to about 16k total. The bike has given no sign of a problem to me or to its previous owner. I do wish the company would not abandon early models so that parts were hard to find, but the bike itself is fun and sturdy.

Bought the Polaris Victory after owning a Yamaha enduro and a Suzuki SV650 best bike I have ever riden. The best thing is the bike is made completely in USA (Minnesota to be exact) except the front fork (Italy) and now that everything thing we buy now (even Harley) is made or designed in Japan… Read Full Review

I had previously owned a 2000 V92sc and my wife had a 1999 V92c. I upgraded to a 2007 Vegas Premium and she now has a 2008 Vegas Premium Low. The ride is greatly improved and there is considerably more power. We have gone on several poker runs and these bikes will run with any of the others. With the 6 speed transmission the top end is much faster than you will want to go… Read Full Review

Written on: 09/06/2008 by tman001 (1 review written)

Took a couple of Polaris Victory's out for a test drive. I don't mind the looks compared to some other bikes on the road. Though I do prefer the 70-80's classic look (if it's been long enough to call it that). I found that the power was smooth during acceleration, though the transmission made a bad clunking sound when changing gears with the clutch fully engaged, I didn't even try to quick shift it. The gearing also felt sloppy, mainly in the lower gears. As for the gauges I didn't like that… Read Full Review

I am a very proud Polaris Victory owner, I have invested a lot of money on my bike as well as my clothing (Victory patch work). I feel good with my bike and love the attention it deserves to get. I hope dealerships can be more helpful and less argumentative with every concern a new owner has. Remember these bikes cost as much as a fully loaded car in some cases… Read Full Review

My Victory is a 2002 TC with 20,000 miles. I would not hesitate to take it across country with the experience I have had with this scooter. Victory is a geat bike. As it grows in market share so will service and availablity. I have owned two of them now. My first one was a 2001 Crusier. Great dealer in Arlington, TX. Victory of Arlington.
PS I didn't buy either bike from them. they weren't around when I purchased the two bikes… Read Full Review

Written on: 02/12/2007

I bought my 2003 Polaris Victory classic brand new and stil in the crate last year. I've got 2100 miles on it and have had nothing but one problem after another. I had the dealer install Stage one pipes and it took them over a month to get the bike running at all. They couldn't figure out how to get it properly mapped out. I've gone through 2 fuel pumps already. The gas tank makes a horrible whinning noise when I get down to 2 gallons. I've "run out of fuel" with 2 gallons still in the tank… Read Full Review

“I have a new 07 Vegas that was purchased one week ago....”

Written on: 02/11/2007 by RINGOKID585 (1 review written)

I have a new 07 Vegas that was purchased one week ago. Today, after a short 5 mile ride when I turned off the kill switch, the motor kept running. I attempted to turn off the key and the same. I realized it was the starter motor that was engaged continuously. Finally after about two minutes, the starter fired. The bike has only 100 miles on it and needless to say I am very worried now about the quality and reliability.
Has this ever happened to anyone else?… Read Full Review

Written on: 27/10/2007 by focholm (1 review written)

Disapointed with the Polaris Victory. Continued problems with fuel system low fuel warning. The shop performed recall on fuel pump clip and they just can't get it right. Concerns on axle replacement. Clutch cable broke at 3400 miles, found design flaw with cable, yet it was not covered under warranty. Brakes wear out fast, even with reasonable breaking habits. I try to like it, yet with all the problems I am concerned on how long it will last before the next problem occurs… Read Full Review
