Good Points: Many
Bad Points: A bit hungry on fuel
General comments: Scenic 2.0L auto is an ideal touring car for empty nesters. Adequate power, (which the old 1.6 did not have), good driving view, (even when driving on the continent) and great luggage accessability (even for a geriatric!)

The Renault Megane Scenic RT Auto 2L is not really big enough to be a people carrier. The Scenic is let down by its poor build quality. The upright seating position is a plus as far as space goes but this is very much at the cost of handling.
Cornering in a scenic is a very interesting experience.
The most that can be said for performance is that there isn't any. But then to be fair, most people that buy a scenic are not interested in performance. They would probably tut-tut under their breath ...

The Renault Megane Scenic RT auto 2L is a good vehicle that is small but very suitable and safe for a family with a small budget. It does not have a lot of horsepower, but enough to meet the needs of a family's means of travel.

If you're blessed with more than one child or a love of sporting activities that take up a lot of boot space then the Megane Scenic could be an option for you. 2 litre engine gives good performance and handling is OK although this will never pass for a sports car. Rear seats give adequate room for 3 adults and middle seat folds down as a table if required. Also all rear seats are removable giving the potential of a big boot space.
