“Appalling customer service”

Ordered an item, after 2 days I was told that there was a payment issue. Checked with the bank who said no I problem so contacted again and ordered over the phone and was told the stock was still ok. The day it was due to be delivered had a call from them and they said would be the next day . “Ignorant, unhelpful and unprofessional.”

I was a regular Client of Vikings for many years. I would place a large order every week. I have since returned today to place a large order and instead of speaking to the lovely girls in the UK. I had to deal with an ignorant person from South Africa. I even tried the credit department and spoke to a person from Roumania that had no idea what I was talking about. Ordered a printer - after 18 days of mostly ignored emails requesting a rough eta I requested a cancellation. Received an email confirming order cancelled. Next day I receive a phone call asking for credit card details. Pointed out that order cancelled and in any event had no credit card and had originally selected Paypal anyway. “Loss of business hours - ”

I am a self employed property manager who has lost 1 (now verging into 2!) weeks trading due to both Viking and Yodels inability to deliver a toner. Yes just 1 Samsung toner. After multiple phone calls and a complaint raised I was told to take a data stick into a printing shop and print out my urgent documents, I could then send my bill to Viking and they 'might' refund me the cost but Yodel was to blame. Ordered a filing cabinet 14 days ago, still not arrived! I am told I will receive a call from someone before the delivery. Surprise surprise. Not had a call. Bought an Office/Computer chair from these people via E-bay. Paid through Pay Pal, and waited for delivery that never materialised. Emailed them....no reply ....Phoned them, was told guy would return my call within minutes ...NOTHING Have used E-Bay and Amazon constantly over the years with no major problems, and I have never come across a company as this .. “Arrogant and Not Listening to What Customers Say”

We have ended up paying for 2 £50 staplers when we only wanted one. The reason? We left it too long to realise they hadn't applied their credit note to our card. Now they say it's all our fault for not spotting the error sooner! Receiving not one, but two faulty staplers says tons about their quality. “Awful, rude and unprofessional!”

I ordered a chair for my partner, it came, he opened it to find out that there was a huge light mark on the brown chair. “Really not very good at all”

Painful experience all round. Items claimed to be in stock at time of order are actually out of stock and not being replaced. BUT you only get to find out that this is the case if YOU contact THEM. They charge you prior to despatch and then you have to fight to get the money back. Despatch emails are useless - Your order has been despatched - that's it, that's all you get in the message. Review Centre will not let you put contact details in your posts - they've removed your details.

However, I don't need them as I'm not some sort of mentalist keyboard warrior whose first resort is to leave bad reviews the second something doesn't go my way. I have contacted your customer services on many occasions.

I get the impression that no-one there knows what's going on, I get the impression that there are no records being kept about past customer conversations or delivery problems with your larger furniture items. The reps are quite civil about it but the conversation always ends with 'I'll look into it and call you back' (incidentally, unlike many other complaints on this page, I DO generally get called back, I just don't get the refund or the missing furniture). Why aren't records kept electronically so everything your customer service reps need to know is at hand.

Fans for instance. Three were ordered, none were delivered, no emails to tell me this was the case, the delivery note for the other items just suggested they would be delivered separately.
When I emailed, I was told that they were out of stock and WOULD NOT be getting restocked. BUT you charged me for them anyway.

Another call about another missing item and I brought up the subject of the fans again - 'oh yes, they're out of stock at the moment and on back-order' I was told. I told them that I wanted the order cancelled as I wasn't prepared to wait for an unknown length of time, certainly not for something that the previous rep had told me would not be restocked. Not a problem they said. That would be about a week ago, still no refund. Your sister company, Office Depot only charge when they despatch an item, why aren't you doing the same? This then would never have become an issue, I could have shrugged it off as just unlucky not getting the fans in the height of summer when everybody else is looking for some. I can't shrug off you taking payment for goods you never delivered and have no intention of delivering.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE AVOID THIS COMPANY !!!!!!!!!!!!!! They left a £120 of products outside the front door, then wondered why they were stolen. Ironically the stuff that was in the parcel wasn't even ours, because they had also sent somebody elses order by mistake, then to top it all they incorrectly refunded me and then threatened to take legal action if I didn't pay.
