Wrong Items Delivered and then wouldn't honour refund as per there website. very hard nosed response given that I the customer as put out and went to the trouble and cost of returning the item to item as per instructions. Be very careful with returns. Not sure I want to go down this road again. Full testomany of a company is how it handles its customers. (read more)

Still waiting for my running shoes I ordered over two weeks ago. The website says that delivery should take place between 3 - 10 days, but after contacting them (after 2 weeks) i heard that I should wait for 21 working days (because I live at one of the most deserted places on this world... the Netherlands!). I guess that they want to deliver the shoes their selves by running in it?! (read more)

what a joke this company is, took 2 x £165 for a tent when only one was ordered then when a rang to see why I had not received it they said they would not send it and gave no reason other than there security dept, so then why take the money?, I now have to wait for my money to be refunded, I would advise anyone to be careful when ordering from this company, there sales team are also not very helpful (but are polite) we have now received the same tent which I ordered from Halfords at a... After ordering goods online pre-xmas, I had to return one item. I tried to do this in store but BLACKS refused so I returned via post. After 28 days, nothing so when they were contacted on the phone all I got was that the cheque is in the post. When it did arrive, it was clear that the cheque was signed and authorised after my phone calls. All in all poor service waiting over five weeks for a refund when in this day and age even Millets ought to be able to refund directly into a bank... (read more)

I received a pair of Peter Storm Waterproof trousers for Xmas, unfortunatley i need a smaller size.Despite searching throughly for the receipt the person who bought them was unable to find it. I took the trousers with labels to my local millets only to be told by the assistant, 'sorry luv can't do anything without reciept' (pretty much after every question I asked) i did not want a refund just a smaller size! These trainers were not the correct size. Millets claimed they were but guess what? I know what size my feet are. Millets refused to acknowledge the problem and charged return delivery. The trainers are called Junior Gel-Cumulus 14 GS Running Shoes..note that "junior" is spelled using the American language yet the size of the trainers are in UK sizes. Again, Millets claimed that this had no bearing on the matter, despite the fact that American footwear is 1.5 to 2 sizes bigger than UK... (read more)

Received a nice Peter Storm coat for Christmas but needed next size up. Staff in two North Lincolnshire branches not very helpfull. One said to come back tomorrow even though the size I needed was on the shelf!! I was informed that big shops like this dont do exchanges today by an assistant in the Grimsby store. My friend had just exchanged something at House Of Frazer with no problems..... Millets. You are not that big. Your staff are obviously not trained to an acceptable level. Sort it... (read more)

I have just received My Merrel shoes. Ordering was easy, they have immediately sent confirmation of the request and the shoes were with me within three days. I also like the fact that they do not bombard you with tons of emails afterwards. They just send the product and leave you to enjoy it :) I would definitely recommend them to others! (read more)

Bought a tent from the guernsey branch along with other camping equipment. The staff were disinterested and unhelpful at this point but I needed the tent the next day so no time to shop around. On return home i discovered the touch i bought didn't work so quickly returned it as my son was upset. I ordered my son a babolat tennis racket almost two weeks before his birthday through millet sports and requested that they send it as soon as possible when paying. They sent me an email the following day saying it had been sent. 9 days later the racket arrived and the postage on the box showed that it had actually been sent 2 days before it arrived. I bought some snow boots (Rucanor II ladies winter snow boots) from the website. I wore them twice and both shoes leaked. Didn't wear in snow. Normal conditions with dew on ground. Awful quality boot and while they were £25-ish I did not expect such a poor quality item clearly not fit for their intended use. I tried to return and asked for a free return label to be sent to me. I ordered GM cricket trousers and a GM cricket jumper for my 5 year old over 2 weeks ago. Called to find out where the order was, to be told one otem was not in stock but would be by the end of the week, so I asked for the item they did have to be delivered. Placed my order hassle free then phoned couple of days later to find they were out of stock. Thought this was bit naughty after they had taken my money. Still received the boots within six days via tracked courier, even though they were left on my doorstep when asked to deliver next door if no one was in. Boots are amazing so comfy n warm and are better by far than my work fire boots, they are so light n just feel like slippers. Overall very happy bunny n also got free magnum socks happy days! I have used Millets in Gloucester several times over the years for smaller items but ran into trouble as soon as I bought something of any value. The item was sold to me as "waterproof" but really wasn't. When I went in to query this, you wouldn't believe the array of avoidance and excuses I was given. Things sold as waterproof aren't actually waterproof, you have to buy waterproofing treatment and treat them yourself. They can't look at returned products because of "health and safety". ... I ordered a £150 racquet from these people and they sent eh first one very quickly and arrived 3 days after ordering however they forgot to string the racquet as they said they would on the website. I then sent it back to them and they promised to string and send out the same day as receiving it. They did not do so and I had to ring them 3 times and they had still not sent the item 1 week later than when I first received the item. Truly awful company. (read more)

Avoid Milletsports at all cost - they are totally useless. I ordered some trainers, after waiting a week with no update I rang up 'Customer Services' and was told in a rude manner to wait a bit longer, they were on their way. After another few days I recieved an e-mail to say they couldn't get hold of that item and sugested another similiar shoe. I agreed to this but after another week's wait I rang again. Apparently these are also out of stock. Rubbish customer service, rubbish shop. AVOID! (read more)

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I ordered some trainers well before Christmas. Despite several promises that they would be received before Christmas they did not turn up. I cancelled the order when it was obvious they could not deliver on time and was promised the refund would be in my account a week later - two weeks later I am still waiting and my account says the order is waiting to be sent. I was a bit concerned on ordering items after reading the reviews on this site but decided to go ahead as I really liked the layout and appearance of the website.
The price of the racket was excellent when compared to other online websites (it was the BABOLAT AeroPro Drive+ GT for £140) and it was dispatched along with the tennis bag the next day. Shocking customer service! Bought a tent which on the first trip camping leaked due to morning dew. Tried to return it to exchange but was told it had to be sent back to head office to be tested. I had ony had it a week! Just called to find where my faulty tent is and they have told me that there is no fault with it and it will be returned to me in its' original state. Device arrived quick enough but when opened the box was dirty & damaged. Inside the GPS was clearly second hand or very shop soiled. The screen was badly scratched, parts were broken and missing. Someone from this company sent this out like this thinking it would be acceptable, unbelievable. Only give this store 1 star because there isn't an option for none. (read more)

Poor customer service: they don't seem to know what is going on. My ordered item has not arrived and they seem unsure about what class of post they sent it via, furthermore there's no order tracking. For a £5 delivery charge I would expect better quality service. A different company charged me a £4 delivery charge for a courier service (with order tracking!) and my item arrived the next day. Performance of Millets website was so slow that I gave up once but returned to complete the order. Delivery was quoted as 3-5 working days - 5 working days have now passed and my order doesn't seem to have been processed yet. Details online say that I would be contacted if delivery is likely to be longer than 5 working days - received no contact as yet.

I ordered Millet's 'New and Exclusive' Butterfly 6ft Table Tennis Table Top -slots together, with free Net/Post set, 2 Sponge Bats, 2 balls.
Only they're not free (I've paid £44.99 for 2 bits of painted board that doesn't ' slot together' and, so far haven't even received the 'free' bats etc anyway
