This company have a very poor response time via e-mail and are extremely rude on the phone. I bought a pair of football boots for my son for Christmas and was merely trying to get an idea of timescales. Ordered 2 bobble filters online form this company, only received one and took over 2 months to get the other. Customer services have terrible communication and your lucky to get a response in a week. Last year (Aug 2013) I purchased a pair of salomon trainers size 5 online from Millet sports. It states it will take 7 working days for delivery. After 2 weeks I phoned to say I hadn't received my order, I was given an apology and told they'd be sent out first thing tommorow. A week later still no delivery...I phoned to be told they did not have my size in stock and they won't be able to get it in stock for 2 months. Ordered and paid for some walking trousers online for collection in store, which the website told me would be collectable in 2 days' time. After 4 days, received an email to say they were ready to collect in my local store. Went to the store, was sent upstairs to ask about my goods, waited 20 minutes for someone to show up. “Appalling customer service”

Ordered several items at the beginning of December, for Christmas. No items have been delivered, 11 days later, so I have emailed and called customer services. No response from my email requests for an update. No one picks up the phone in customer services. After holding 3 times for over 20 minutes. I have given up. “Very poor customer service for returns”

I bought a five man tent from Millets online. It failed the first time used with water leaking in, soaking everything inside and cutting our holiday short. After asking customer services what I could do I returned it to my local store. At that point I was told it needed to be sent for inspection to confirm a refund. Local store took money for a tent to be delivered within 3-5 days, 2 weeks later still it received. No communication from either store or customer service. Now would like a refund but store refuse. “Millets Online Appalling Service”

Placed an order online and standard delivery says item will be DELIVERED in 4 working days, nearly 2 weeks later I have not even received an email confirming despatch. Sent an email 6 days ago to query this, no response yet. Telephoned their customer care department numerous times over the last 3 days but no one even answers the phone!! “customer service”

Staff are very rude and refuse refunds even when you are within your rights. They clearly do not want to lose profit by refunding your money. Do not buy from millets unless you are really sure you do not need to return any items, but go somewhere else where customer service is better, I have never experienced service like this before and hope I never will again. Wrong Items Delivered and then wouldn't honour refund as per there website. very hard nosed response given that I the customer as put out and went to the trouble and cost of returning the item to item as per instructions. Still waiting for my running shoes I ordered over two weeks ago. The website says that delivery should take place between 3 - 10 days, but after contacting them (after 2 weeks) i heard that I should wait for 21 working days (because I live at one of the most deserted places on this world... the Netherlands!). what a joke this company is, took 2 x £165 for a tent when only one was ordered then when a rang to see why I had not received it they said they would not send it and gave no reason other than there security dept, so then why take the money?, I now have to wait for my money to be refunded, I would advise anyone to be careful when ordering from this company, there sales team are also not very helpful (but are polite) we have now received the same tent which I ordered from Halfords at a better… Read Full Review

“Beware refunds/returns”

After ordering goods online pre-xmas, I had to return one item. I tried to do this in store but BLACKS refused so I returned via post. After 28 days, nothing so when they were contacted on the phone all I got was that the cheque is in the post. When it did arrive, it was clear that the cheque was signed and authorised after my phone calls. All in all poor service waiting over five weeks for a refund when in this day and age even Millets ought to be able to refund directly into a bank… Read Full Review

“NOT ABLE TO EXCHANGE CHRISTMAS GIFT FOR SAMLLER SIZE”

I received a pair of Peter Storm Waterproof trousers for Xmas, unfortunatley i need a smaller size.Despite searching throughly for the receipt the person who bought them was unable to find it. “Incorrectly sized trainers”

These trainers were not the correct size. Millets claimed they were but guess what? I know what size my feet are. Millets refused to acknowledge the problem and charged return delivery. The trainers are called Junior Gel-Cumulus 14 GS Running Shoes..note that "junior" is spelled using the American language yet the size of the trainers are in UK sizes. Again, Millets claimed that this had no bearing on the matter, despite the fact that American footwear is 1.5 to 2 sizes bigger than UK… Read Full Review

“MILLETS NOT ABLE TO EXCHANGE COAT TODAY”

Received a nice Peter Storm coat for Christmas but needed next size up. Staff in two North Lincolnshire branches not very helpfull. One said to come back tomorrow even though the size I needed was on the shelf!! I was informed that big shops like this dont do exchanges today by an assistant in the Grimsby store. Bought a tent from the guernsey branch along with other camping equipment. The staff were disinterested and unhelpful at this point but I needed the tent the next day so no time to shop around. I ordered my son a babolat tennis racket almost two weeks before his birthday through millet sports and requested that they send it as soon as possible when paying. They sent me an email the following day saying it had been sent. 9 days later the racket arrived and the postage on the box showed that it had actually been sent 2 days before it arrived. “Wrong item sent twice-international order”
