i used to eat at Pizza Express in Wardour St in the 80s. This is so much worse, overpriced, soggy base, long waiting times, staff not up to it. Don't eat there at the weekend (or preferably at all).
Typical London dining experience all in all. :)

Pizza Express in Fleet is relatively new, so we thought we'd give it a try. We weren't expecting much, just a nice sit down meal with a few friends. We were making use of a voucher.

The service was great, pleasant and friendly. The food came as ordered, and in good time, so no complaints there. The food actually tasted pretty good.

My only real negative was probably the restaurant itself. The acoustics of the room just really didn't work. Everything just sounded so loud, as people's voic ...

Tried Pizza Express in Wrexham for the first time, First impression was poor as the Manager had food samples on his shirt, the tables were grubby, as was the floor and windows. Staff looked very unhappy, although the manager did try with the kids, The quality of the Pizza's was very poor, few toppings and burnt bases. We had to return one with no quibble from the staff. I won't be returning as I feel cheated and I am still hungry.
Try at your own peril. Pizza hut for us next time.

Pizza Express is apallingly poor value for money.
Poor service - we told the waitress the kids' salads hadn't been included even though it was part of the meal deal. She shrugged and blamed it on a colleague. No apology or recompense.
The pizzas were small and the toppings skimpy.
    Extra toppings were ridiculously priced.
The worst pizza restaurant we've tried.

I never thought i would be one to recommend Pizza Express so highly. I ate lunch their with a couple of friends last saturday (making use of a 50% off deal with a taste of London card). The restaurant was really busy, with a buzzy atmosphere perfect for a saturday afternoon. Our waiter, although new that day was comptetent and friendly (he even accidentally gave us proper champagne instead of the requested prosecco). The food was fine - as you would expect from pizza express - perfectly nice but ...

Pizza Express, food was appalling, service was appalling, dirty tables, dirty glasses. The new pizza range with the centre missing with a salad was shocking, the salad was 1 small tomato cut into 4 pieces with a handful of rocket. Would never go there again!

We hadn't visited Pizza Express for a while because past visits were bad. It seems that the staff and management have changed now and we have lovely meal, which came to £13 with our 2-for-1 voucher. We only had a jug of tapwater though as the drinks are ridiculously expensive. So a great meal on a budget. Great service from our server too.

Pizza Express is a lovely clean restaurant with excellent service, but the last couple of times I visited in the last month, once in Watford and the other time in Hemel Hempstead, the salad left alot to be desired.I ordered a salad niciose and there was at most 2 table spoons of tuna in the whole salad , at almost £9 for a salad , which main ingredient is tuna I was disgusted, so second visit I thought I 'd order the chicken salad, again there was one strip of chicken in it. I'm afraid I ...

Pizza Express in Truro is a truly depressing experience. The lovely building in a central location s the only plus point. Once inside, you might as well be in a Pizza Hut, without the quick service. Kitchen looks grubby, food looks unappetising, bill looks like daylight robbery. Go to Piero's down the road instead.

Took my two young grandsons into the Sevenoaks Pizza Express restaurant and 75 minutes later we were still waiting for our plates to be cleared away. Couldn't wait any longer so my grandsons missed out on their dessert (which was included in the price of the kids menu) and we left. Also had to ask twice for the bill.

I am from Chester and I know must of the restaurants in town, went to Pizza Express because is new and wanted to try the famous pizzas which are just average and expensive for a Pizza, but that is not the problem, the real problem is some staff members... some customer service is poor.

Was disappointed with Pizza Express. I thought the waiters clothes looked dirty, they did not appear to clean the glasses or plates (both!) properly before serving another drink or main course. I had to tell the waiter to take it away as the humongous plates (for food that wasn't there-garlic bread!). When my friend asked for a clean spoon (as the one given to her was dirty) the waitress just looked at her, didn't even say anything and apparently shoved another one in her hand! The food seemed t ...

We eat at Pizza Express Basingstoke often with no problems, but our experience at the Portsmouth branch was disappointing to say the least. Our waiter seemed rude to us to the point where we felt uncomfortable and decided to leave before ordering, despite preparing to feed our 8 month old baby.I will not be eating there again in a hurry.

I always enjoy the pizza at Pizza Express Loughton Essex but last night I used a voucher for a buy one get one free take away only. You had to call up and say you were using the voucher when ordering. The pizzas were so salty we could only eat half of one, I wondered if this was because they may use cheaper and less ingredients than if you were paying full price and add more salt thinking this will give more flavour? We had to drink loads of water after and through the night.

Why on earth go to Pizza Express? I understand food in London has improved over the past years. I also understand that people are not particularly picky about it. Especially when you are hungry and in a hurry, you hope at least the "Express" will prove true. I was such a person tonight. Maybe I was really asking too much but when asking whether I could have some sweet corn on my simple Margarita I was told "this is not Pizza Hut". It has never been a problem before... Should I really add more? A ...

The other evening, my wife and I decided to have a meal at the Pizza Express in Southgate. We were warmly welcomed and seated immediately, and that's when the problems started. My wife chose the bruschetta as a starter and the Grand caesar salad with no anchovies as the main. First two courses I chose, the pollo pesto and proscuitto e funghi, were not available and the reason given was that a delivery had come in late and it hadn't been unpacked yet. And so they asked me to choose another main, ...

Bury St Edmunds Pizza Express - simply the worst service we have ever experienced (5 August 2008) Took one hour and forty minutes to serve a simple pizza. Coffee arrived with cups less than half full and no milk until we complained. Apparently surly and uncommunicative staff.

I live in Cambridge, and understand week-ends are very busy, but the food was just rushed out and put on tables, no considering about presentation and taste to the food, all in all a very disappointing evening meal.

The Alresford Pizza Express restaurant is a hidden gem. It has a lovely garden and lots of character, staff warm and friendly and seemed genuinely happy to work there.

Had to wait 2 hours for the main meal at Pizza Express, this is unacceptable we were a group of 10 and the table was pre-booked. I think the Pizza's are poor compared to what i can get from the take away at a 5th of the price. The pasta dishes looked and apparently were disgusting and £6 for a pint of beer is to much. Complained, was originally offered free coffee but eventually got all starters and some main meals free. Could be the worst meal out i have ever had.
