Good Points: Choice of food is pretty good, normal service with a bubbly smile can be expected, and reasonably priced offers.
Bad Points: The seating area's are small, the push for spending money is ludicrus and the new snack range is below par effort.
General comments: The menu is extensive with a host of meats hot and cold to put in a choice of breads, you can have 6" or footlong or even a tortilla wrap! Cheese is optional on all sandwiches and after the meat selection you get the option of Hot, Cold or Toasted. Certain sandwiches must be cold (Tuna for example) and some are better hot (Meatballs). The choice does not stop at the tempreture of the food as you then have to decide on the salad for your sandwich. Pick from Lettace, Onion, Cucumber, Tomato, Peppers, Jalepinos, Olive, Sweetcorn and more then the sauces to finish. Also there are meal deals to make it more tempting than a McDonalds. Overall you decide what you want and they make it. Things worth noting whilst getting Subway is the push for double meat, not really needed unless you'll pass on salads, the speed you need to decide at as the queues get fairly long, the special offer sub of the day is quite often a good choice, but recent additions of snack range is poor. The meatball tub is smaller than pictured, cheese on toast is bland. Avoid at peril.

It's the best place I've ever eaten at, you add like an extra £1.20 i think and can make it a footlong! Instead of a 6 inch. There's a large range of sandwiches, salads and wraps, you can make your own sandwich and choose your filling salad sauce. And it's quite cheap :).- Read Jaakeyboii's review (75 words)

The service at Subway in Stanmore is very good. Even when it's the busiest time of the day and they are rushed off their feet, you will always be treated nicely. Fresh salad is great and healthy. Good value for money and a healthy alternative to burger/pizza fast food take-outs. I would recommend anyone to Subway, and I have only been there twice!!- Read lynsey1000's review (79 words)

At first, the prices at Subway were great (£2 for a sandwich with the extras and a drink). 6 months later and that's £5.
The only decent one for me was the meatball marinara, but the balls have been hard on the edges recently, so I gave up.- Read yellowtimechris's review (55 words and 1 comment)

I can't get enough of subway. First I was addicted to foot long meatballs but recently I've moved on to the Italian BMT with as much salad as possible slightly toasted. Tastes superb. The bread is made fresh on the day. Service is pretty decent although it can take time during busy periods. Only downside is that around £5 for a foot long sandwich can seem a tad on the expensive side but well worth it after a hard morning at the office.- Read moody41's review (85 words and 2 comments)

Subway offer fabulous sandwiches, and salads with unbeatable freshness. Next time try a foot-long of meatballs with double fillings and you will know you have had a good meal.- Read Japan1960's review (52 words)

Sub of the Day what a gem! It does not matter what day you go in Subway never lets you down with the sub of the day. At £1.99 for 6 whole inches of orgasmic mouth watering experience with a different meat filling each day.
From the moment you go in the service is fast despite the the queues, the staff are always friendly and clean. For each sandwich you always have a choice of 5 freshly baked breads before you choose your filling. Being a cheapo I always opt for the sub of the day but th ...- Read 45lovers's review (173 words and 1 comment)

Subway is a lifesaver and certainly hits the hunger spot! I first discovered this chain while backpacking in the States and was amazed to discover the choice of breads and fillings! It's a healthy fast food alternative.
Interesting how Macdonalds has introduced Subway style baguettes onto their menu.
Definitely recommend any of Subway's "Sub of the Day" deals for only 1.99!- Read glenduncanscott's review (64 words)

I love Subway; they do the best big sandwiches ever! The best thing about them is you can actually watch your sandwich being made and you can have as much or as little filling as you like! My favorite is the meatball sub! YUM. They also do meal deals as well which is good if you're on a working lunch as it's really handy!
I've never tried a 12inch sandwich but I imagine you can't eat for week after I, as they look mammoth.
I don't go to subway very often, as depending what you get can work ou ...- Read emza2511's review (125 words)

Subway do nice big sandwiches, the meatball marinara and Italian BMT are exceptional but you're best off going when they are on special, as it's quite expensive if you're getting the footlong.- Read templd's review (32 words)

This review is not aimed at the 'traditional' Subway menu but rather at the Breakfast menu.
I've eaten in 4 different Subways and not had a problem with the regular food before, but after having a couple of bad experiences of their breakfast I felt that I had to share this with everyone here.
Whilst I cannot add much to the excellent reviews and comments that have already talked about the food, staff and shops that constitute a Subway, I can tell you about the very poor service and food th ...- Read PhilWalsham's review (434 words and 1 comment)

Having atually worked in two subway stores, I can say there is a huge difference between how they are run. You can't go wrong if you visit a store in North Wales. The staff are excellent, cleaning is none stop, the food extremly fresh, and the bread perfect. The offers are generally good too. However, I visited a store in Portsmouth, and I was so disappointed. The bread was slighty over done, the lettece brown, the staff... well... stupid, they couldn't even fold the ham correctly. It seems I ...- Read muddysquirrel's review (116 words and 1 comment)

I eat at Subway regularly and absolutely love the food.
The bread is baked fresh in their in-store ovens on a daily basis and they also bake cookies and danish fresh too. The store is always kept nice and clean and a big point for me is clean loos (I always wonder what the kitchens are like if the loos are dirty).
The serving staff wear gloves that they change for every sandwich, so inspire confidence that they are not transferring germs onto your sandwich. The sandwiches are huge. They are ac ...- Read sue002's review (387 words)

I love Subway. Who doesn't? It has great food and it is really healthy and it tastes soooooooooo good, it has a little amounts of fat, but it is a little expensive and that's the only problem. If that was fixed it would be perfect.- Read Bojangles's review (52 words)

I have visited Subways before and not been overly impressed with the serviced although the food has always been excellent. The subway store in Northampton has been open about a month and every time i go in the staff are always smiling and enthusiastic even when run off there feet. The food is always fresh and they are always getting new gloves on. They also always have offers going to get yourself a free sub.- Read lakeslass's review (88 words and 1 comment)
