General comments: Fantastic Service! - Specsavers in Sutton-in-Ashfield - modern equipment, friendly staff and a great atmosphere
I received excellent service at this branch. The equipment used was amazing - I even had a screening test done for Macular Degeneration! All staff very friendly and I would thoroughly recommend them.

I have had to visit Specsavers in Dunstable several times over the past 6 months with my 5 year old daughter, initially for an eye test and subsequently for fittings for her already numerous pairs of glasses. I have to say that without exception every member of staff that we have come into contact with has given us first class service and attention. I have spent many years working in retail and have therefore been very conscious of the levels of service that I have received as a customer and am ...

I went to buy a new pair of glasses before xmas. Initially I was attracted by a particular pair of glasses I liked & the good financial deal on offer. It transpired that the specs I was wearing differed from my last prescription (both supplied by two different high street opticians).
I was referred back to the optician who provided the test as Specsavers couldn't overide the prescription. When I couldn't resolve the problem Specsavers spoke to both the other opticians and, unable to get them t ...

Every time I pop into my local Specsavers (I normally just go in for a yearly contact lens check up) I end up standing around for ages because they don't seem to notice that a customer has walked in. I buy contact lenses from them online and in the last year I've had 4 faulty lenses - all from a different batch so not sure if I've just been unlucky or if the quality is just always poor. Fortunately, they've always sent me a replacement lens very quickly after I've sent the faulty one back. Very ...

I have had a very bad time at Specsavers & after mentioning it to my friends & neighbors, I fail to see how you get your high ratings. Perhaps the unhappy ones just talk with their feet rather than put it in writing.
This last two months have been almost a nightmare with spectacles prescribed that were the cause of a nasty fall, which I could well do without as I have recently had a hip replacement. I have been given two different prescriptions, badly scratched specs & now told to ...

I hope when I eventually get my specs they are OK and I will not have to have this experience again. Shop needs modernising and they need to get their act together.

I have worn spectacles for well over 50 years, so I consider myself able to compare opticians.
I booked my appointment online, and it was followed up by a phone call from Specsavers confirming what part of the morning I would like, and whether I was able to negotiate stairs. I found this really amusing, but as the shop is on ground and first floor, a very pertinent question.
My appointment wasn't urgent so I had allowed a weeks leeway.
The day before my appointment, a phone call was mad ...

I recently decided on an image up-date......with a few hints from my children. I had been wearing silver framed glasses for a few years now, in between wearing contact lenses. I visited the store on the Friday to peruse their choice of frames and also to make an appointment. I picked out two frames that I liked and the assistant kept them aside for my appointment which was made for the following Monday. I was taking advantage of their two for one deal, and planning to have the second pair made i ...

Shouldn't have gone to Specsavers. Having worked in Optics for over 12 years, being a Dispensing Optician and with a degree in Optometry, I was mortified at the terrible standard I was faced with at SPecsavers. Thank God I've never had the misfortune to work in a practice with such low standards. It was a joke! I left there furious because the staff couldn't make the most basic adjustment to a frame. I imagine thousands of customers are walking around now wearing ill fitting frames. I will only ...

I have been going to the Specsavers at Ashton-Under-Lyne for years now and they have never disappointed me.
Yes, it can be quite difficult to get an appointment, but if you know you are due for a sight check then plan ahead and book yourself in early.
However, on the odd occasions that I have had an eye infection they have seen me the same day, no messing.
I have my contact lenses with Specsavers and have recently developed an allergy to the ones I usually wear (this may be beause I have had ...

I managed to make an appointment at very short notice, and when I got there I was seen straight away; no waiting around!!! The equipment they use is really up-to-date and easy (none of those heavy glasses that they put different lenses in), and afterwards my prescription was explained to me clearly, and any questions were answered. I was then helped to pick some glasses, with a lovely sales assistant who was really helpful and managed to find me two lovely pairs of glasses - which isn't hard co ...

Being able to get an appointment with 3 days notice at Specsavers opticians, of which I was very pleased, only to find out on the day of my appointment the customer service was to dramatically change.
Unfortunately, after getting stuck in abnormal traffic, I realized that I was going to be 5 - 10 minutes late for my appointment, and so I decided to inform the optician, only to be told that there was now not going to be enough time for my appointment, as the optician was having their lunch, a ...

Having worn glasses since I was a teenager, I have always used Specsavers as they offer a very good range of glasses in different styles, which, being fashion conscious, is quite important.
I was recently due for an eyetest and booked an appointment at Specsavers, as I had previously received good service there. I arrived on time for my appointment to be met by a lady who asked if I needed any help, who then directed me to the eyetest area. On reaching the reception desk, I stood there for 5 ...
