Hello My Name Is Alannah Page And I Am 12 Years Of Age And I Attended My Eye Test On The 29th November And It Turned Out That I Have A Minimum Cause Of Lazy Eye And I Am Long-Sighted I Would Recommend An Eye Test Because It Helps Your Life Get Better I Have Not Recieved My Glasses Yet But In 1 Week I Will Recieve Them And The Glasses That I Am Getting Are 100% Free And They Are Also Trendy. If Your Child or Children Are Naughty When They Go Out, You Will Be Fine As The Staff And The Opticians Are Very Friendly.

As a former manager of a business, I am well versed in dealing with customer service and after care of that customer. So far the optomitrists and the medical portion of my service is the only part that has been to my satisfaction.

SpecSavers would do well to listen closely to my opinon of one of their stores, a very poorly managed store.
My eyes are important to me. My pennies are important to me. My trust is important to me.

SpecSavers in Broadmead, Bristol, has let me down on every part of ...

My local Specsavers will not now allow clients to book an appointment with an individual optition. It is pot luck as to who you get to see. If you arrive late you have to rebook. If they are late with your appointment you just have to wait. Certain tests , eg eye pressure and field of vision, are carried out in public areas next to the waiting queue. There is a complete lack of confidentiality.

I know this is late but i have been meaning to commend the Store in Bathgate since June this year. In the past i have had bad experiences with Specsavers but as i was in Bathgate visiting relatives i decided to call in for an eye test as i had been too busy to book an appointment at home with my usual optician. I cannot praise Mr Douglas White, the Store Manager, and the staff there enough. Also I would like to thank Mr Khoo, the Optician, who gave me my eye test. Their Professionalism was exe ...

AVOID SPECSAVERS AT ALL COSTS !
Their eye tests are appalling, I was more than a bit concerned after
having mine, as it was conducted so poorly.
I then had further tests at D&A, and vision express within 2 weeks of
the specsavers test, and the results were clear.
D&A, and vision express, results were similar, and completely different from specsavers !
I will never ever walk through their doors again

Tried Specsaver again and once more they got my glasses wrong. I used them in Blackpool and they got them wrong twice. I used them in Wakefield and they got them wrong three times. So, being a forgiving person, I tried them in Morley and guess what, they got them wrong!! They keep putting the prism in the wrong place or upside down and they get the thickness wrong even though I have paid for them being very thin. The excuse is that my prescription is difficult. So therefore they can only do easy ...

Having bought my glasses over a year ago, returned due to a problem with the coating of the lens which was wearing away. I was advised I was out of the guarantee period and would need new lens replaced at a cost of £170. Only one lens was damaged and the optician blamed this on me putting the glasses down on a hard surface face down, I categorically said that I NEVER EVER do this and that it was due to water splashes from swimming. They said the could not re-do the coating and would nee ...

Decided to go to Specsavers as a change and wishing now i hadnt. They got my prescription wrong and i had to have a 2nd eye test. I will have to go back for a 3rd time so they can adjust these as they are still blurry in the edges.

When the woman was fitting my glasses she just bent the ear pieces and plopped them on. At my old opticians he would check and adjust them until they fit right.

Will be going back to my old optician next time as these glasses are flimsy and the service was terrible. ...

Thought they were fine until there was a hitch, and I now can categorically say I have never ever experienced worse customer service in my entire life. If you have a problem with a manager, you're stymied, because there is absolutely nowhere else to go. Check out the customer service website for Specsavers to see what I mean - it effectively does not exist. The staff change so often (telling you something) that there is no continuity, no desire to help. They have been taking my money without sen ...

I had an eye test a few months ago, but had decided not to get new glasses as my prescription had not changed that much! However, this week my glasses managed to obtain a nice scratch on the lens, so I had no choice but to get new ones! Having seen the prices of the glasses in the opticians I'd had my previous eye test in, I knew I wouldn't be able to afford any in there (I'm a student!) So, remembering the "should of gone to Specsavers" advert, I had a look on their website. I was impressed by ...

Specsaver Tottenham Court Road - worst customer service experience ever. Cocked up my contact lense order on several occassions, never gave a proper apology and then proceeded to continue with my direct debit for several months after i'd cancelled it! Bad assistants, some good opticians, shame they work here.

I had an excellent experience at specsavers. The young optician (probably in his 30's - but young relating to the fact that Im 74) was well spoken, explained all matters of the test and the results so I could understand them. He told me that there was no change needed in my perscription but I got some new varilux lenses and a new frame as I wanted to treat myself. The total cost was £137 which was with a 30% discount as I'm over 60.

Lack of friendly service and bad attitude from the
    Specsavers optometrist.

I went elsewhere for my glasses.
I believe that my prescription was correct after the normal intensive testing.

Out of all high street opticians I tried - Specsavers are the cheapest ! If you don't like to go for online shopping for prescription glasses but look for cheap glasses this is your shop. Free single vision lenses - 2 for one designer glasses - rates for varifocal bifocals very cheap - matching many online opticians.

Very poor service at Specsavers. I agree with some of the other comments from reviewers - too much sales patter as soon as you get into the store. Also I thought going to the opticians was about a health screening for your eyes - Specsavers seem to have turned this important test into something that's totally about sales. It should be about the quality of the eye test and the end product i.e. glasses or contact lenses which are comfortable, correct your vision deficit and suit you. You only ...

Hmm, after reading a lot of the negative comments here I am beginning to wonder if I went to the same opticians! I last had my eyes tested in 1993 and thought it was about time for another test as my eyes have been deteriorating for about a year now. Told it was age related and that I should opt for varifocals. In my local area there is a Specsavers and an independent optician a few shops away. The Specsavers branch is always busy which I take as a good sign. I felt looked after from the moment ...
