This is the second year running I have had nothing but problems with specsavers Motherwell. Last year they had agree to get the glasses he wanted and the store website claims have in stock into the store. 2 weeks went by and I had not heard anything. “Specsavers Burnham-on-sea. Awful.”

I treated myself to new glasses just before Christmas, and carefully selected the most appropriate frames in close consultation with the staff at the branch. Once it came to fitting day, I was rushed through the process and the glasses did not fit properly and caused considerable pain after 30mins use. “An Inconsistent Service”

I will start by saying the Optician himself was very nice, patient, understanding and very professional. Unfortunatey he was let down by the rest of the staff at Chatham who were terrible. I had to book at Specsavers as my corporate eye cover states this is who we are now covered by. “Not in France!”

The new Specsavers television ad is quite misleading. The ad is based around a wine cellar in France and ends with "should of gone to Specsavers" suggesting you can make an appointment in France. I live in France and would love to go to Specsavers as the french system for an eye test is not as straightforward as it is in the UK. “Extremely poor service and value for money”

I have been going to my local Specsavers in Keighley for a number of years, (I should have moved earlier). In 2015 I had eye cataract surgery which was very successful, however after this I still needed glasses for reading. I went to Specsavers,I underwent their eye test, and paid £300 plus for two pairs of glasses. I was unable to read with the glasses so I went back for a re-test. “Specsavers Bourne- Dreadful customer service”

I purchased two pairs of glasses from the Bourne branch almost a year ago, within a matter of months due to poor quality both arms fell off each pair. My wife took one pair back for repair and then when she collected them she dropped off the identical pair for repair. I called Specsavers in Bourne for an eye test and said I wanted to try contact lenses and was told 2 appointments back to back would be booked to allow for discussion on contacts. When I arrived this hadn't happened and luckily the optician rectified this and did it all in the one appointment. I made the next appointment to return and pick up glasses and have a teach session for contacts and was told I could only come at 10, 11 or 1500 and not a weekend. I would never ever use the Borne Branch, disorganised, in my opinion very unprofessional and some staff come across as very rude and abrupt.

They lost a pair of my glasses which I hasten to add were sent back for repair as one of the arms fell off ( this was the second pair they had to repair).

went in to collect them and was told no records are shown on there computer showing they went in for repair so we could not have taken them in?.

Unreal, why would we lie !! , could it not be somebody forget to enter the information on the computer ( according to the manager if its not in the computer they never had them )

“Pure rubbish keep away”

I have been to specsavers twice myself as has my partner. The eye test was good but every pair of glasses fell apart within weeks, I took mine back three times my partner hers twice only for them to fall apart again and again, Be warned you save nothing by going to specsavers it cost more in wasted time keep going back to fix them. “Dishonest pricing!”

“Glasses which simply don't last”

I went to Specsavers to sample a different range of glasses. My two pairs from Optical Express had lasted and lasted. There were slight problems with the varifocals but these were dealt with quite quickly, but I still felt at odds with wearing the most expensive pair which had reactive lenses so they stayed in the case while I got on with wearing the "second" but almost as expensive pair. I asked to speak to somebody and basically got the deputy manager, who suggested if we had returned them the information would be in the computer, I asked was she suggesting I was lying about my wife dropping them off when she collected the first pair and she immediately accused me of being rude and then decided to hang up the call, all because I questioned if she was accusing me of lying about dropping off a cheap pair of glasses. She was enormously disingenuous and obnoxious and not a good reflection for Specsavers, the Stamford team are much better than the Bourne team in the way they speak to people to my previous knowledge.
So now I have no second pair of glasses because the Bourne shop lost them but because they can’t find them on their computer system – which again they are assuming we never took them for repair in the first place, by implying that we are lying - how dreadful. I truly hope they can’t sleep at night with their disingenuous attitude…
Even when my wife spoke the one of the directors – who again implied we lied about taking a broken pair of glasses in… because they couldn’t find them – so the implication is ‘we’re lying’… so Specsavers Bourne cannot do anything, absolutely nothing… about losing a pair of glasses… in a shop full of glasses…
This shop is dreadful, customer service is awful and clearly instant reaction was to suggest we never took them in, why on earth would I lie about something so petty?
They used to be a reasonable opticians before they expanded… but if they can lose a pair of glasses and imply their customers lie… can you really trust them with your eyes

“i will never use specsavers again”

my son had been complaining of blurry vision, especially in his left eye. we went to specsavers for an appointment . the optition said his eyes were fine. but afterwards my son said theres definatley something wrong its really blurry and he was squinting to read. only two weeks later i took him to another optitions for a second opinion who said he does need glasses,his left eye was worse and even diagnosed his left eye has astigmatism that specsavers had failed to notice.good job we went to… Read Full Review

Needed stronger lenses so asked if they could just reglaze my original frames to which they agreed. They ordered my lenses which came in promptly, but unfortunately could not be fitted for about a fortnight, because the fitter was on holiday.
