“Delay almost months”

It is almost 6+ weeks since I paid in full for my glasses. Have phoned the Broadwalk Centre in Edgware several times where I had the test and each time I am given an excuse and promised further dates which has passed several times. I have ordered my spectacles from them and after more than 3 weeks wait I never get them. In the meantime they told me lies and unkept promises. During the 3 weeks they never ever contacted me it was always me I had to call them. Unferndly and unprofessional staff. Story ends I've asked for a full refund. “What has happened in the last 3 to 4 years”

OH DEAR. What has happened to them recently? I was told 2 weeks ago that my glasses would be ready in 2 weeks and that it was not uncommon at this time of year for the wait to be only one week. SO yesterday, after 2 weeks and no phonecall I contacted them to be told that My wait would be AT LEAST 3 weeks and that this was quite normal as they have to send the order to a laboratory to be made up. How can a large company take so long. Surely they must have all available combinations of blank glasses to be machined to order. They are obviously not organised. Ive been told it will take 3weeks. Same happened last time and I thought it was a one off. They have lost my custom from now on. Eye test no problem. Thats the easy bit.

The eye test was good but the service after is poor the lady serving was not use to the computer and had to call for help took a long time to sort right sized lens for the frame i choose after a hour I paid in full and was told that they would be ready in three weeks but i am still waiting keep being told they are completed and must be on way feel this service is poor and would not recommend anyone to use vision express… Read Full Review

Never use Watford shop. The eye test was very good, but the person who served me was not custermer friendly and stone face could not be bothered to do the last test in the shop . when I said I am not going to pay the high price she said,She seemed to lose intrest .After 3 weeks still waiting for glases. “Promises, promises”

If it were only the eye test, I would award at least 4 stars. When I ordered my glasses I made it plain that my need for a new pair was urgent. I was, however, told that variofocals took 3 weeks to make up. There was no way of 'expressing' my order. After three weeks I enquired if my glasses were ready but they were not. Have had the most horrendous experience with this company eye test 23/03/2015 said glasses ready about two weeks ,after five replacement lenses due to them i am still waiting for my glasses nearly ten weeks later scratches on lenses scratches on frames wrong lenses put in another eye test to check and forgot to put transitional lenses in . I used the bull ring store recently to order my new Lens for computer use mainly. The tests I will always rate as they always take time and make you feel very welcome and never feel rushed. Firstly kept waiting for ages 20-25 minutes before eye test after alloted time. Went back a week later to collect glasses and then found glasses came with completely wrong prescription.... Few weeks ago I decided that it is time to have my eyesight checked. The optician was efficient and quite polite. Got examination completed and a recommendation for bit stronger lenses. So far so go. I was handed over to the shop floor staff. I told them that I want to keep my current frames. They said no problem – it took 2 weeks for the lenses to arrive at which point they said it will take 1-2 hours to get my glasses reglazed. They called me to confirm date and time. Took regular diabetic eye test,was advised a new pair of varifocals were needed,had to pay the £400+ up front,glasses duly arrived,could not read,or see as far as I could with the previous pair,was given a second eye test,and assured the prescription was correct,despite the fact I still could not read with them I have tried and tried to get used to these,but cannot,I have had no problems with previous pairs,I will never ever use this company again,now they do not even botherto send reminders… Read Full Review

My mother had an eye test and asked for her new lenses to be put into her old glasses because they were quite expensive frames from 2 years ago. They wrote everything down, took the glasses, etc. They then said "£109 please"! She was shocked but really didn't want to say anything, £35 to fit each lens? Plus extra costs? She usually has this done nearby, at an independent shop, for the grand total of £25 and they are perfectly well fitted and no problems. How do they justify charging… Read Full Review

Do not use Vision Express, many other options exist. Shop staff are nice enough, optician was lovely, do not though expect glasses anytime at all, I'm currently 7 weeks in (shop staff told me 3 is normal for my middle aged varifocals). Hi All I wear contacts and seemed to have gotten one stuck in the top of my eye, i had gone to Vision express to help me perhaps, but they had rejected me as i am not their customer and offered to book me in for an appointment, i had offered money yet they seem to want to still book me in and register me (probably want to plunder more money out of me).
