Being a regular user of the Harvey Nichols Bristol restaurant (2nd floor) I have never had cause to complain until yesterday, I purchased a bottle of wine in the restaurant, @ £35, after lunch I procided to the Harvey Nichols in house shop, 3 m away from the restaurant entrance only to find the same bottle @ £15, when I wrote to the CEO a Mr J Wan, my mail was intercepted by the general manager of the bristol store a Ms Stone (Harvey Nichols Bristol) who explained the mark up was... Having written a negative review elsewhere I wanted to be balanced and so I thought about brands/shops that I like and trust. Harvey Nicks jumped to mind immediately.

The service in this store is absolutely first class. Knowledgeable, courteous, friendly. When I bought two pairs of shoes recently, when I got home I found I could have saved £60 buying them online. Was on holiday in London and was visiting Madame Tussauds with my children. Saw some shopping bags on some models. Didn't know of Harvey Nichols the shop, but so happy I do now! Went to Harrods before visiting harveys. Such gorgeous clothes, amazing selection. I want everything there! Will be back there next time I'm in London (maybe without the kids!) (read more)

I went there with the intention of purchasing a pair of VB R&R jeans. After trying on 4 pairs I called it a day, as they all made my bottom look huge (bearing in mind I am only a size 6-8).

The gentleman who was assisting me was fantastic, and he said that it may have been the particular style that I was trying, and that usually 1 of the styles will fit correctly. Went to the Harvey Nichols in Manchester recently, which was great fun. People in Manchester talk about the presence of Havey Nicks as if mankind has just made some amazing scientific breakthrough. It is like civillsation has finally arrived. It is the same way smaller towns or cities talk about TK Maxx arriving - like they have just got an airport or something.
