Both of these stores, have massively improved, since the company went into administration, the stores have both improved and upped their game (Pardon the pun) . Both stores, now have caring staff who know alot about the games and consoles, and also now give deals. The only issue i feel is the lack of stock ? Stock seems to be at a low currently in both stores. The Accrington store has great staff members, who go the extra mile to make sure all the customers leave positively. The Blackburn staff are also great, however could possibly give more help. When helping customers. The reward card idea is also great ! The website, helps alot also, and has been greatly been improved, with the new trade-in feature, helps you make sure you are getting a good deal and also saves alot of time. Only issue i have had is preowned discs and small issues with staff. The preowned discs some are scratched or dirty. Also some staff are sometimes too eager/ over the top. But overall they are great.

I go to GAME on a regular basis. Have always found the staff helpful and friendly. Never much of a queue (exception would be after Christmas, but it is like that every year, and understandably - because of their great sale prices!) Recently I was in and I found them to be very helpful to a customer, a child with learning disabilities. The boy wanted to see a 3DS in action, and the manager came round and showed him how it worked, explained everything and was very kind and helpful. My cousin has learning disabilities, and I know myself that that is how I would want her to be treated.
One exception to their great service was one time I had gone in, asking to pre-order something, about a trade-in, buying a game and also to order a replacement reward card. I went in asking several things, and the member of staff forgot to order my reward card. But It was an accident, I went in asking several things, was an easy thing to forget. I just went in a couple of weeks later and ordered another one, rather than make a big deal or issue of it. But to be honest I don't think this really matters, as every other time the staff have been friendly, knowledgeable and service has usually been quick. The layout of the store is great, normally I am into the shop, I find the game I came for within 30 seconds, It takes about 2 minutes to pay and I am out again. I am usually in and out of the store within about 5 minutes. Although Game's prices are slightly higher, their trade-in prices for consoles are much better than anywhere else.
I would highly recommend anybody looking for a game or console to go to their nearest GAME store. :)

From my experience at GAME, I can value the store for the customer service which more then justifies the price that the store does charge. Also the higher prices I have seen tend to have related to avaliability of stock. Is quite funny, seeing other members of the public complain about price offers when the deal in the other store has sold out! When I pre-ordered games from GAME, they always had one reserved for me, sealed, behind the counter and the management, senior staff always had great knowledge on all products. The sales assistants (in pink shirts) seem obviously less experienced but I was thankful for there opinions and how they would ask management for advice or information regarding a product or service I enquiry about (e.g. HDTV terminology and XBOX Live subscription issue). The company also also a rewards programme for frequent customers in the form of a GAME card. I had managed to get a £5 saving off a sale item of Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology so I considered that a bargain. Finally in regards to stock or upcoming releases, if the staff didn't know, I didn't feel they were lying to me, they simply told me the truth, for example, when I enquired about a NDS, they simply said, out of stock due to Christmas demand, please check/phone our store within a few weeks time.

I would go back and shop in Game, as I found the staff to be professional and always smiling. I got some great bargains, and I managed to get a Nintendo Wii at £179.99 when all the other retailers were ripping people off by making them pay £300 for a bundle they don't want. Top marks to Game!

UPDATE : Since this review, the Blackburn store i stated in this review as one of the stores has sadly gone downhill once again, so bad i had to send an official complaint to the HQ. The staff have sadly worsened.
