I checked the web site for the price of World Of Warcraft WOD and saw it was advertised as being £30.00, so we went out of our way to go to the store in West Quay southampton only to find they are selling it for £34.99??? “Bad customer service”

I ordered a gift card, on line, as a Christmas gift. When the person tried to redeem the card they were told that there was no credit on it - this was embarrassing for them and for me. I tried to contact Game by phone with no success so used the web chat. Eventually I was told that they had made an error and failed to load the card before dispatch. Far as im concerned im not stepping foot in game again. I brought a preowned game from merryhill store west midlands at the upper mall.the guy behind the till was iggnorant and spent most of his time talking to the other people laughing and joking and fooling around.. A few months ago i bought an item online, it went through fine. I checked my orders and noticed it wasn't there...so i phoned game, they told me that the order hadn't went through and to try again. I tried again, same message, nothing in my orders. After another phone call i was told that there was a glitch on the site and that no orders had been going through and no money had been taken. “Seriously AVOID buying anything from GAME”

I only left one star because there is no option to leave none! I foolishly purchased two consoles from the GAME website for my children for Christmas. They only delivered one, with a note to say the other was out of stock. I didn't think this would be a problem but boy was I wrong. As far as they are concerned they sent the console, whoever packed my order did not update the system to say it was never sent! Take them to court. I am having to take them to court over a small £12.99 they are desperate to keep.

Dont be afraid. Money Claim Online. Pay the £35 and watch how quickly you get a response.

“Avoid - customer service is appalling”

Without boring you with a long story, my son bought a pair of headphones and was wrongly advised about their suitability for use with a PC. We were on a weekend away, so disposed of the packaging before we realised this. I have been struggling since October to get a refund as this was clearly misrepresentation. ordered a special edition Xbox one game which was on a cyber Monday deal. Ordered was placed within two minutes of the game offer going live at 12 noon, was showing in stock and money taken. I know I ordered the day after their black Friday event but you would still expect the same care and communication as any other day. I have to ask myself how this company is still open unless they are only staying a float by the amount they charge to sit on hold for 2 hours. I preordered Shadow of Mordor for the PS4 and I was gutted to say the least that I didn't get it on the release dat. 3 days later and I still had not received my game! GTA V on the PS4 was released on the 18th of November 2014. Being a fan of the GTA series, I happily preordered the game so I could receive it on release day. So I received an email saying to help things go smoothly, they would process and take payment on the 13th. Great, that's plenty of time (even for royal mail). “Don't bother pre ordering”

Had halo the master chief collection preordered for about 3 months which did not arrive on release date. Forced to call the customer service line where I was on hold for about quarter of an hour to be told they don't know where my game is and they will ring me back...no ring back so forced to call customer line again, put on hold for another 20 minutes at my expense to be told the last person I spoke too had got it wrong and my game is waiting to be delivered by Royal Mail. Very unhelpfull and stole my money in the end. Support didn't respond and I got answer via chat that they don't guarantee codes to work outside UK. Which is pretty dump considering I'm within EU with them. Refused to return money and were blindly referring to their terms and conditions that they deal only with UK sellers.
