Recently had something saved in Lowestoft store for collection in period of Black Friday. When we collected the item it had a 30% reduction tag attached but when checking receipt after purchase had only received 10% discount. Staff made us feel as though they thought that we were not telling the truth and did nothing to check for the 30% reduction tag taken off the garment at the till. We had also intended to purchase circa £110 more of goods (gents & ladies coats, fleece & misc items) but walked out of store after the treatment that we had received. Went elsewhere to purchase similar items and as such BHS missed out on sales of over £100 because they were not willing to give an extra £5 in discount. Not good business I think and, despite the fact that we have shopped at BHS for over 40 years, we will never return there again. Have obviously passed on this bad experience to friends and family.

Why offer delivery and installation when the delivery men don't want to install the item. Why have a customer services department when all the staff seem to say 'Sorry but we'll get back to you in 48 hours' and don't. Why do you take money from hard working, honest people and treat them with such disrespect. My 75 year old mum bought an iron bedstead. She paid for delivery and for them to put it together. They delivered and just went. Neither the delivery company nor BHS can be bothered to do anything about it. Numerous telephone calls, emails to BHS and still no outcome to this farce. Is she expected to sleep on the floor? Trading Standards have been advised and BHS will be done for breach of contract and we will be putting in a claim for damages. I know they don't care but then they are only weeks away from going bust so don't buy anything unless you can take it away immediately. This is a store that's been in our high street for years, they should be ashamed of yourselves. Everywhere I have worked if a we had an unhappy customer, we would listen and bend over backwards to sort out the problem. They should take some lessons from the likes of Waitrose and John Lewis, they know how to treat people. DO NOT SHOP IN BHS - DON'T SAY I DIDNT WARN YOU

I brought the ESME sofa from this store 2 yrs ago. After about a year it started to sag on one side. I contacted BHS who sent a chap round to take a look, he agreed that it was sagging quite badly but admitted that BHS would put it down to wear and tear, which they did. They haven't even offered to repair it. I live alone and don't have many visitors, so would have expected this sofa to last for many years. It now looks like its about 30 years old and looks very unsightly. BHS will not print my review, so hopefully this one will be seen. Steer clear of buying furniture from this store, especially the ESME sofa's which they are still trying to flog. Their Customer Service is truly appalling.

visited Colchester store recently for a refund I was treated badly cold horrible staff did receive refund after 15 minutes but manager was horrible and all staff ganged up on me I was told to leave other wise police would be called threatened to don't visit for a refund they don't like refunding faulty goods as my t~shirt was I was left crying upset this store hates customers and make their visit hell if return goods don't value customers don't visit

I visited BHS in Salisbury , I was served by someone who was quite clearly off his face, I think and believe this is truly unacceptable for a firm which prides its self on having good customer service. His behaviour was verging on disgraceful.

My friend ordered two wedding dresses and two bridesmaid dresses for next day delivery we're now 6 days on and BHS seem to have lost the order and can't offer any explination or compensation. ridiculous, they are blaming the courier but if they can't meet the promise of next day delivery they shouldn't offer the service! customer service was appaulling I'm surprised anyone still shops wit them.

in the cafe my husband ordered a cup of tea and some toast first attempt burnt it second attempt took ages to get it and staff was not wearing hat's place not very inviting at all will not be visiting again

I've waited 6weeks for an order. Managed to get through to customer service after being given the run around to be told my parcel had been delivered to Loughborough instead of Derby where I live.My granddaughter has given up hope of ever receiving her frozen hoodie.I won't be using b.h.s ever again. Terrible service

Barley silver scatter cushions have brown zips. Have been on to customer services who have informed me they can't do anything, as these are made with brown or black zips. These look horrendous . Have spoilt the whole appearance of the sofas. No one informed us of this when ordering. Automatically presumed that these would be grey. They aren't even concealed zips. They are well seen. Please reply. Very disappointed customer.

BHS behaved unethically, with lack of customer care, in contravention of online selling laws and not in accordance with their own terms and conditions. I ordered a laptop which was advertised at some 30% less than most other suppliers, BHS accepted my order and told me when the laptop would be delivered. Two days later BHS told me that they were cancelling the order as there had been a pricing error. I wrote to complain and lay out my reasons. The response did not engage with my complaint but merely repeated the original cancellation saying “Unfortunately we are unable to reinstate your order as this as been cancelled due to a pricing error”. I will be avoiding BHS and will be encouraging my consumer network to do the same.

If you have an option I would stay clear of this service. They advertise that the item will be in store within 4-7days, they do not mention that the store can take a further 7 days to let you know. In total its taken over 2 weeks to just 'Click & Collect'. When you do go into store to collect, they go down into the basement

I complained to BHS that I had been charged more at the till than the discounted ticket price. BHS emailed this response: As a company we are not obliged to honour the discount that the jeans have been marked down as because it may have been a single error on an item. Therefore, with this in mind the company has to honour the price that the item is scanning up on the system as. Kind regards, Katie BHS Customer Care

Ordered on line, after 14 days waiting I bought the item I wanted dirrect from the store, it had always been in stock. I then rang the store to cancel the delivery. They said they would cancel and refund the items as they were having problems delivering to carlisle and send an email, none of which happened! I now need to pay for a bus and go into the store to get a refund plus I am heverly pregnant. The store and online company need to start to communicate!

Hurendus customer service trying to get a call back, plus they only open 9 t 5 , what a wsit of time the worst company ever, been waiting 4 weeks for a £800 refund and still waiting , my advice stay well clear

Sent the wrong colour shoes. I returned them and eventually received a refund for the shoes but not my postage costs. BHS completely at fault but no refund in spite of my emails and calls. Impossible to get through to speak to anyone and don't forget - we pay for the calls they don't answer. Immoral and illegal. Trading Standards need to know.

Went to the restaurant here with my Mum for lunch. Asked for tikka masala which they didn't even have. Was offered chilli, which I dislike. My mum wanted the fish and chips, so I ordered the same. We were told to pay at the till and our meals would be brought to our table. We waited at the till for about 5minutes until a member of staff arrived to take our payment. The food arrived in about 5 -10 mins. Instead of fish and chips we got raw batter and chips. You would have needed a microscope to find any fish. It was disgusting and needless to say both my mum and myself were unable to eat it. What a waste of £11.90.

When I wanted to return a click and collect item, I was unable to log in with the same details. Tried to call them - no response Tied to email them, but instead got a over complicated online form, which when I pressed send disappeared into the ether with no indication what had happened - it just dumped me back into FAQs Still no response. Took it back to the shop - more time and £1.50 parking. Don't use - they seem to think that customers are there for their convenience

Shocking customer service, do not use! No one ever answers the phone and emails take forever to be replied to. I got faulty goods and trying to arrange return was a joke. I will never use them again.

I had returned an item. Since this could not be returned to a store, i posted the item on 28/05.14. Received ack. on 03/06/14 saying they have returned £30.00(the returned item price) and it will be in my account. It was in my account BUT NOT £30.00 but only £26.00. I thought it can be human error and since then contacted through email 4 times. So far not received a single ack. and still waiting for a refund. Proper cheats! I am not giving up. It is going to be escalated to a be written complaint. I have to waste some more of my time and postal charge to get back £6.00 This company is not even worth one star.

Ordered flower girls dresses that I required urgently as my bridesmaids do not live in the same prt of the country as me and they were visiting at the weekend. Was never given the express option when I orderd them within store and was told would take approx 4 days. As I ordered these on the Monday thought I would have by the Friday in time for the girls visit. I've ordered many items from other stores: Next, Asda etc all of whom deliver within 2 days. Received an email on the Thurasdy saying- 'excelent news your order has been despatched from our warehouse' thus I assumed it would be in store the next day. But oh no, on visiting the store Friday evening in a desperate attempt for get my dresses in time, I was told it apparently takes a further 5 days to reach the store - I can only imagine taht teh warehouse is in outer mongolia. If I'd known what poor service I would receive then I would have gone elsewhere in the first place. Can't beleive BHS service is so poor in this day and age, if other stores can do with 24 hrs then dont understand why BHS is so far behind. Would never use again, totally unreliable

Why would you expect them to have tika masala if they don't sell it as you say on review it is a cafe not an Indian restaurant or takeaway, there is also no mention of you complaining about the fish without complaint at the time how can any business rectify the problem?
