Good Points: You can edit teams and make you and your friends. The stats for each player are very detailed. You can change referee strictness making for funny multiplayer matches. There is an unlockable mode where you can play every world cup final!(1966 being the best). Four players. You can do many AMAZING skills. You can do ingame management. Its very cheap.
Bad Points: The graphics are not good compared to modern software. There are only international teams. Takes up a lot of memory.
General comments: Jikkyou World Soccer: World Cup France '98 is MY favourite game of all time so I will be biased, but I have reason to be! It came out before the world cup and so I am writing this 6 years after the game came out and I play it all the time still!
Why buy "red card football" or "FIFA 2004" when you can buy this great game which is better than both games and includes nearly every feature of them(it includes every important feature). You can put referee strictness off and injuries on to play with mates and take out their team. If you also turn off offside, you can have two on two and one of you can take out the opposing goalkeeper and the other hits the ball upfield!
There are some slick skills on this game and you can embarrass you mates or the computer by flicking the ball over their head! Another point is that the replays are good on this game and so you can watch you score an amazing goal or take out a player when they are through on goal! This is the ultimate party game!
In game management is great and you simply press a combination of buttons to change from attacking formations to defensive! The management is great with you being able to change the exact positioning of every player and even their anger rating...depending how you change it, the player's hacks are considered worse or better and they are more or less likely to get the ball or cause an injury.
Thank you for reading my review,
Dave
