The gun is easy to disassemble and clean. Action is nice and fits in my hand perfectly. Not the most accurate, but when she shoots you can see why beretta is a high quality gun.
I am surprised that the gun jams so easily. I figured since it was government issued the gun was able to take any grain bullet. I own a few other handguns, Sig Sauer P220 .45ACP,a Glock 17, and ruger .22, all of those guns have no difficulty across all grains(mostly the sig and glock). If I use a high grain on the Beretta i have no issues, but lets face it, if you want to go to the range you are not going to put in a 124 grain hollow point and pay the extra to shoot a high grain bullet. I was disappointed with the performance across the lower range grains. I think this applies to the amateur buyer. When i go hunting, i take my .45 with a high grain and a bible. 9mm are for fun and protection, the Beretta is fun but lack luster with the lower grain bullets.
I would buy it because the action is great, but when you hear that click, or lack there of, you will know that a lower grain bullet is to blame.

I have owned my 92 for about a year and have run about 4 to 5,000 rounds through it as I shoot it often. I can't say enough good things about this weapon. I have had no trouble with the gun except for a feed problem with an aftermarket magazine. The Beretta has a reputation that can't be beat. It has an outstanding military service record though I am told the US military is going back to the .45 for its stopping power. Not to worry, the military can't use some of the awesomely hot 9mm loads that ...- Read kenshi70's review (282 words and 1 comment)

The Beretta 92 is quite accurate and comfortable to use. I've borrowed this model from friends on the firing lanes and never had a failure and heard of one failure only because my friend hadn't cleaned his gun in quite a while.
It is a wonderful 9mm, but obviously for law enforcement if you stay with beretta the model 96 is a better choice because the .40 S&W is a more powerful round.- Read amurrayx's review (95 words)

I have been shooting firearms since 12 years of age. The country (Pakistan) I live in do not have any shooting ranges for civilians. One has to go outdoors to check their weapons and practice.
I have a black finish Beretta Model 92 FS. It is such a well balanced gun that I nearly do instinct shooting. When you hold it it feels like its part of your hand and you can quickly focus on the target reducing the time of aiming. The balance of the gun makes the shooting softer and more accurate. I c ...- Read Wajid Ali's review (162 words)

This is the finest mass produced weapon on the market today. The 9mm is a proven self defense round...no matter what the .45 or .44 mag loyalists claim. Fact is that you're better off hitting what you aiming at than missing with whatever caliber gun you have so the affordable (and therefore better able to master) 9mm is a solid choice.
I have put several thousand rounds through without a jam. One misfire due to the round not going off despite it being struck by the firing pin. Accurate at dis ...- Read alankwak's review (111 words)

The Beretta 92FS is an amazing 9mm its smooth lines are pleasing to the eye and it is reliable, durable and accurate. It is one of the most tested and well thought of small arms battle weapons available.
I've owned mines since 1989 it has never felled to fire or eject a round. In ballistic drills where two rounds are fired to centre mass then the head it is very accurate, and easy to double tap, the guns very easy to shot. This weapon was purchased through the police department that I was wo ...- Read Sifu456's review (213 words)

I am a Police firearms instructor and find the Beretta Model 92 FS Stainless to be a reliable and accurate weapon. The stainless steel is a big plus in the area where I live due to high humidity in the summer months. I wish that they came standard with night sights, but it is an all around fine pistol and I would not hesitate to give it my professional recommendation.- Read charlie2t's review (85 words)

The Beretta Model 92 FS Stainless gun shoots OK if what you are looking for is something cheap to shoot (9mm) that goes bang and throws a small piece of lead in the general area of the target. The trigger is incredibly rough considering the price when I bought mine.
I recommend you stick with the 1911-A1. A better gun, easy to trick out, more accurate (even the worst military gun I have fired). In the event something goes wrong, easy to fix.- Read 65dogs's review (120 words and 7 comments)

The Beretta Model 92 FS is a great gun. For some reason my 92 jamed a round within the first 10 rounds ever fired but never since then, and its been at least 1000 rounds. All around a great sidearm for many situations. I've not got my hands on the 96D model (.40cal version) but cant wait to do so.- Read Wonieto's review (69 words)
