    Good Points: Good Location.


    Bad Points: The Smell, the dated furniture, the worn carpets, the renovations, the smell.


    General comments: We complained about the first room it was tiny and the smell was making us gag (we couldn't quite work out what it was). We moved to a room which was a lot bigger and didn't smell quite so strange but I didn't take my clothes out of the case to be on the safe side.In fairness the room wasn't dirty, just dated and nothing like the pictures in any brochure etc. The staff were relatively pleasant but I felt sorry for them as they seemed to be getting a hard time with other complaining guests.We checked out after the first night and stayed somewhere else... the manager said he couldn't comment on the smell as he had a cold and the staff member who had dealt with the previous days complaint claimed ignorance.I wouldn't stay here again and if you must, make sure you get one of the best rooms otherwise you will almost certainly be disappointed.

    We stayed in Handlery Union Square Hotel after being to L.A, Chicago, and Las Vegas; it beat all the other hotels hands down!! It was a friendly hotel, we were upgraded on arrival, the room we received was fantastic, the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in! A nice big, clean bathroom, with lovely white bathrobes, and a big dressing room with mirrors and hairdryers! We got a newspaper delivered everyday. The bar in the hotel was lovely, very friendly staff who made us feel at home!
