Good Points: Lovely settings, beautiful pool and not far from the beach. Market is just up the road and I recommend the camel ride. I loved it. The sunsets, you would think you are in Hollywood.

Bad Points: Our first family holiday. My six year old son and his mum got food poisoning on the first day. This carried on until our last day. One whole week. The rep, denied flatly that anything was wrong. We found her rude and unhelpful. We asked about a burger place so that our son and his mum could eat something they were familiar with. She told us, in a not so nice way, you are in Tunisia now, not England. Strange that because on our last day of holiday at the old city, we found a few burger places. Our bathroom toilet had a bit of poo on the side of it, if that is how you like hotels to be, then this is for you.

General comments: Cats do not belong in restaurants. Strange how when more than half the hotel was down with food poisoning, that the Health Inspectors decided to show up. We even heard people moaning in agony. The next day, all the chefs were wearing clean uniforms, the food was much hotter, in comparison to lukewarm at best. My son vomited in the foyer of the hotel and it took them 45 minutes to clean it up.

I will go back to Tunisia but not to the Kinza Zenith Hotel. I am trying to get compensation for this holiday, as it was not a holiday at all.

I would never risk going to this hotel even if it was free of charge as the whole time we stayed was a unhappy one our children cried to come home every day and we could not wait to come home and have a good drink and talk to people who were not after our money. We were harrassed constantly in reception even when sitting by the pool by men selling trips. If you want a relaxing tine pick another hotel or destination.

We went to Hammamet in the third week of March 2006. Booked the holiday at the very last minute. It was for a couple, and I will try and be as honest as I can in my review.

Flight to Tunisia - Very basic, no option for vegetarians - 4/10

Trip to hotel - Very smooth coach journey - 8/10

Greeting upon arrival - Made to feel welcome - 7/10

Food - You have 3 meals a day. Breakfast, which is usually croissants, pastries, coffee, tea and OJ etc., and cereal as well. Lunch which caters ...

Kinza Hotel is not what it claims to be, the staff are rude and ignorant to English speaking tourists. The waiters/waitresses would only serve you if you were paying for your drinks, their attitude to "all inclusive" guests was to treat us like 3rd class citizens. The reception staff were appalling claiming they did not understand us and the rep could only speak in broken English. The food full of flies and was the same everyday for 2 weeks we had to eat out after my partner became ill for 3 day ...
